Monadnock Revving Up for Season

Winchester, NH: As the snow melts and warmer temperatures are around the corner in Southern New Hampshire, the management of Monadnock Speedway has been working diligently to put the final touches on the 2017 season.

The speedway will host their traditional Spring Dash on Saturday, April 22nd, highlighting the sophomore season for the Modified Touring Series along with the Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Lightning Stocks and Young Guns. The special season opener will start at 5pm. To prepare for the 2017 season and the Spring Dash, competitors are encouraged to attend the test and tune session being held on Saturday, April 15th, from Noon to 5pm. At the test and tune session, management will be on hand to process NASCAR licenses, competitor registrations and season passes. Fans can attend the test and tune session for free in the general grandstand area to check out the 2017 competition.

For the 2017 season, Monadnock Speedway has made a few changes to the schedule and the technical rules. The schedule for the upcoming season will include the Modified Touring Series for four dates, Granite State Pro Stock Series’ traditional JBH 100, NEMA, Pro 4 Modifieds, Classic Lites and New England Champ Karts along with special exhibition races from STAR and NEAR. In addition to the visiting touring series, the speedway will also host special races for the weekly divisions including Twin 25s for the Sportsman Modifieds. The staff is always working on hosting a few “ACT” Type Late Model races and possibly two special bringing back the “For Those Who Dare” Enduro events.

The tech team has reported very few rule changes for all the weekly division with the exception of the Mini Stock division where management has adopted the North East Mini Stock rules and the change to the American Race Tire for the Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks and Thunder Stocks. The Mini Stocks will continue to compete on Hoosiers while the Lightning Stock will run on regular DOT Tires.

The staff of Monadnock Speedway will be making their yearly appearance at the Frank Maratta Auto Show and Race A Rama being held at the Eastern States Exposition
March 10, 2017 through March 12, 2017. Management will available at the show to give out information and answer questions.
