BRADFORD, VT – The annual Bond Auto Parts 4th of July spectacular with Modified Madness provided the packed house with over 200 laps of racing excitement Saturday night June 28, 2014. The DIRTcar Bond Auto Parts racing over 100 laps for their biggest purse of the season of over $9,000.00.

The drivers brought in over 200 sponsored laps for their double points madness night in the DIRTcar Bond Auto Sportsman Modifieds. Starting the first segment on the pole with his most laps collected status was Jason Gray, with Chris Donnelly Orford NH alongside. When the checkers waved on segment one Donnelly was the winner with Gray in second. From the first segment 21 of the 25 cars would be inverted for the second segment line up with the additional three completing the field. Tim Hodge being the unlucky finisher in segment one was able to capitalize on his then pole position in segment two and capture a huge chuck of the lap money for the segment and come home the winner. Segment three was Gary Siemons and Ryan Christian Canaan NH to set the pace on the field. Siemons led a majority of segment three until late in the event when Christian was able to capitalize on a bobble by Siemons and take over the lead. Christian in only his sixth outing in the mighty mods was able to survive two restarts to claim the final segment win. When the final results were tallied Chris Donnelly was declared the overall winner with Derek Barker in second and Adam Pierson in third. Rounding out the top five were Mike Gendron and Kevin Chaffee.

The DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Pro Stock Sportsman Coupes saw yet another winner this week as Jason Colbeth was finally able to claim the gold. Working from deep in the pack Colbeth made his way to the front to claim the lead and go on for the win. Joining him in victory lane was Matt Ellsworth with his best finish of the year in second and Jeff Robbins coming home in third. Points leader Melvin Pierson claimed fourth with Brian Chaffee in another strong finish in fifth.

The USAC DMA Midgets continue to impress the crowd with their strong showing of cars every other week. One name of note is the occasional visit of John Heydenreich. Heydenreich is still struggling to figure out the ridge, but rest assured when he does. Look out because you will see a whale of a show! Tonight it was once again the Adam Pierson show as he claimed the lead on lap eleven over taking Dean Christensen. Christensen was able to hold on for second at the checkers with his team mate Scott Holcomb claiming third. Skip Matzcak’s stable claimed the forth place finish with Joe Krawiec and Josh Sunn completed the top five.

The Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Models the Crazy Ed’s Bear Ridge Speedway half of the Bear Ridge/Legion Speedways Late Model Challenge were looking for Rob Williams to make it three of the four events after his back to back wins at the Ridge and Legion, but his moment would end late in the race when his drive shaft let go, putting him in the pits and out of contention and game on again for the challenge. Jason Giguere Lebanon NH was able to take advantage of the restart and take the lead away from Brandon Gray going on for his second win of the season. Gray held on for second with Derrick Stearns taking third. Mike Greene and Travis King completed the top five.

In the Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours/KDD NAPA Ridge Runner Hornets Charlie Lakin once again found himself on top at the checkers with two other hornets joining him in victory lane. Sean Perron came home second with Hunter Garduno taking third. Rob Gioia came home in fourth the first Fast Four across the line with Chris LaForest rounding out the top five.
