TigersBarre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced special Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen triple 50 lap feature events during Jet Service Envelope – Accura Printing event at Thunder Road in Barre on Thursday, August 21. The Tiger 100 lap feature scheduled for last Thursday, August 7 was postponed due to rain and was rescheduled for the August 21 event.

Instead of running the 100 lapper followed by a regular event, the Tigers will now run three 50 lap features spread out throughout the evening and earn separate feature points and separate purses for each race. The field will be inverted after each event to set up the line-up for the next race.

Waterbury’s Jason Woodard continues to lead the way in the Tiger standings, but Wolcott’s Brendan Moodie has been slowly making up ground in recent weeks. So far this season the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen have seen eight different winners in the eleven feature events run to date.

Thursday night action continues this Thursday, August 14 with double features for the Late Models as well as regular events for the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks and Rough Riders plus the New England Antique Racers make their annual visit. A special post time of 6:00pm will kick off the night with the final 47 laps of last week’s rained out Late Model feature.
