1111BRADFORD, VT – Topless night offered plenty of hot action on Saturday August 30, 2014 sponsored by Dead River Co, as the Sportsman Modifieds an Sprint Cars of New England bared it all without roofs and wings.

DJ Robinson was the 11th different winner of the season in the DIRTcar Bond Auto Sportsman Modifieds finally breaking the jinx of always the bridesmaid and never the bride. Robinson made his way from mid pack to second by lap nine following Ryan Christian who was having his best run of the season. On their tails was Bryan King who was also looking for his first winner of the season. King grabbed the lead from Christian and stayed the point after a restart for a couple of laps before Robinson made the pass and set sail for the win just past half way. Robinson was strong until the final laps when Chris Donnelly made his presence known forcing Robinson to stay strong. As the checkers finally waved Robinson crossed the line a nose ahead of Donnelly. Claiming the final victory lane spot was Josh Currier. Bryan King and Bob Shepard rounded out the top five.

Logan Oliver went from the pent house to the outhouse in just one week as he found himself in the pits after a late race caution. Taking advantage of Oliver’s misfortune was Michael Danforth one of his rookie contenders. Danforth starting from the second row grabbed the lead from rookie Mitchell Frost on lap twenty one and never looked back claiming his second win of the season. Jeff Robbins and Thomas Placey came across the line second and third. Earl Maxham and Mitchell Frost completed the top five.

The USAC DMA Midgets were off and will return next week Race Against Cancer night sponsored by Mekkelsen RV.

Once the dust settled after a shaky start the Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Models watched the point leader Jason Giguere, also topless take the lead on lap six and cruise on to his eighth win of the season, being the winningest driver of the year at the ridge. James Fadden took the runner up honors with Rob Williams grabbing the final victory lane spot. Michael Greene and Matt Lashua closed out the top five.

In the KDD NAPA Weglarz Property Service Ridge Runner Hornets and Fast Fours the front wheel drives continue to dominate the rear wheel drives with Cody Stearns ® claiming his third win of the season. Rob Gioia the first Fast Four crossed the line in second, with Hornet runner Mike Ryan coming home in third. Chris LaForest and Charlie Lakin completed the top five.

The Sprint Cars of New England were in town and it was heard that being topless offered the fans one of the best races they have seen of the SCoNE machines. Keven Chaffee took the lead from Will Hull with ten to go and was able to hold of Dan Douville who was knocking hard on his door the last five laps for the win. Douville crossed the line second with Hull holding on for third.
