Andy Lindeman wins NETS Shirley Lindeman Memorial at Lee USA

In his third attempt, Andy Lindeman finally brought home the trophy engraved with his late mother’s name. The Shirley Lindeman Memorial Race at Lee USA Speedway belonged to Shirley’s son Saturday night. An emotional Lindeman was presented the trophy in victory lane, and thanked series officials and the Cindy Burdick Motorsports team for sponsoring the event, which has been held at a different speedway each season since 2012. Duane Noll had won the previous two.

Lindeman started third, but moved past early leader Glen Noll by lap four. From that point on Lindeman paced the field in a green to checker event. Frank Dumichich Jr. was second, followed by series point leader Corey Coates. Rookie Tyler Chapman finished fourth, and four time series champion Chris Correll fifth.

Lindeman’s victory gives him three on the season, and leaves him within striking distance of Coates as the series’ visits Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the final event of the 2014 Season.
