gysdcdfBRADFORD, VT – What a night of racing it was for the final event of the 2014 racing season at the ridge with an over flowing pit area providing edge of your seat racing for the fans on Crate Motor Nationals Spencer Rocke Memorial night sponsored by Shaker Valley Auto

The DIRTcar Bond Auto Sportsman Modifieds ran their 100 lap event with a big win at the line. Time trials set the field, with Tim Tucker once again setting fast time at 13.857. A couple of cautions slowed the pace early taking out Adam Pierson and later Bob Shepard who hit the back stretch wall hard. When racing resumed the stretch of green flag racing had every fan catching their breath. Donnelly found himself on the last restart having some company to contend with, as Kevin Chaffee started pounding on his door. The two would swap positions for the next 50 laps as they worked their way thru lapped cars. Two more cautions late in the race gave Chaffee the advantage he needed as Donnelly had a tire going. Chaffee was able to hold on for the win with Donnelly saving second. Third went to Jason Gray with TC Forward and Josh Sunn rounding out the top five. Trevor Rocke, Spencer Rocke’s son came home 17th in only his second appearance at the Ridge in 2014.

The DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes had a rough go of it, with several cautions slowing the pace. Josh Harrington set fast time at 14.901 and would start the feature 4th thru the invert draw. Jason Colbeth the 2014 track champion started on the grid 5th and quickly worked his way to the front. Colbeth would bring home the checkers and the crown ending the season on huge high. Louie Cadwell edged out Thomas Placey for second at the line. Matt Ellsworth and Logan Oliver completed the top five.

Adam Pierson in the USAC DMA Midgets has dominated all year and even with the championship sewn up wanted to end the year with a win and that was what he did his 9th of the season. In his first time appearance at the Ridge driving the 29 Seymour machine Alex Bright crossed the line second giving Pierson a run for his money but falling short on laps to take the lead. Alex Bright was the fast time in trials at 13.932 –.075 seconds slower than fast time set by the Sportsman Modifieds! Tim Gallant would join the two in victory lane in the third place spot. Tim Hodge and the legendary Ray Miller completed the top five.

Rob Williams grabs the win in the Laquerre Sports Limited Late Models and was the fast time setter in time trials at 15.060. Williams started fourth and grab the lead quickly, being able to stay out of the mayhem behind him. Joining him in victory lane were James Fadden second and Matt Lashua third. Kevin Harran and Doug Boucher completed the top five.

Kodi Sabins in only his second appearance at the Ridge in the KDD NAPA Weglarz Property Service Ridge Runner Hornets/Fast Fours beat out the Hornet champ Mike Ryan at the line for the win with Rob Gioia the Fast champion coming home in third. Bobby Bell and Jesse Durkee completed the top five.
