ACTEAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – With a great run at Oxford Plains Speedway as a momentum, Packard and her Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels 9x team are hoping to continue that success this weekend. As the American Canadian tour heads to Lee USA Speedway, Packard is anxious to get to the track. “I am excited to run Lee Speedway again this season, and am confident that we can continue to build on our good start of the season,” said Packard.

With a full weekend at the track, Saturday, Packard and the team will spend the day setting the car up and getting more comfortable with it. “This will be my second time racing at Lee in the late model, and I will use Saturday to find the right line and focus on the best way to get around the track,” Packard said. “I am optimistic that on Sunday we will be able to roll the car out of the trailer and just spend the last practice making minor tweaks to the car.”

In last year’s race, Packard finished 12th, and hopes to improve on that finish this year. “Touring with the American Canadian Tour is such a fantastic time; we get to return to a lot of the tracks that we ran last year, giving us an opportunity to improve on our previous finish,” said Packard. “I really liked running at Lee last year, and I can’t wait to get back there and out onto the track. I have a lot of confidence that we will get the car dialed in and have a great car for race day.”

Final practice is scheduled for Sunday, where the team will have the opportunity to make any last minute changes before the heats roll off. Rounding out the day will be the 150 lap New Hampshire Governor’s Cup feature. “Hopefully, we will have a decent finish to keep up our points position in the championship battle,” Packard said. “A special thank you to ACT for being chosen as one of the three stars of the race from the Oxford race. We were fortunate enough to be chosen for this award last year, and it was truly an honor to be chosen for it again this year.”
