esdsafsdWINCHESTER, NH – The Granite State Pro Stock Series will travel to Monadnock Speedway for the third event of the championship series, on May 23.

The Memorial Day 100 will be the seventh time the series has run at the Winchester, NH ¼ mile, and has seen three different winners (Barry Gray, Matt Frahm, Mike O’Sullivan).

One of the three drivers who have experienced Victory Lane at Monadnock Speedway, Barry Gray, has carried the checkered flag three times. On his success, Gray says “I guess I like the bullrings, and driving in traffic.”

Gray is aiming for his fourth win at the track; a track he has picked up numerous victories outside the series, and is a former track champion. The Belchertown, MA driver explains the key to success at Monadnock Speedway, explaining “You just need to run smooth, and keep it in one piece. To finish first, you must first finish.”

A driver having the best start of his Granite State Pro Stock Series career, Derek Griffith is carrying strong momentum into the Memorial Day 100. Griffith has two top 2 finishes to begin the season, nabbing second at the opening event, the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, and earning his first-ever series victory at Claremont Speedway.

The point leader entering the Memorial Day 100, Griffith is quick to give credit to his car owner, Louie Mechalides, and his crew, stating “My plan is to push myself, and with my team behind me, I think we will come out very good this season. We just need to keep up the good work.”

Cory Casagrande returns to the series, and will attempt to make his fourth start on the tour. Casagrande is a former Stafford Motor Speedway Limited Late Model Champion, and Late Model Rookie of the Year. Casagrande finished 12th in the JBH Memorial at Monadnock Speedway in 2014.

Also entered into the event, 2013 Champion Mike O’Sullivan, and all-time series wins leader Matt Frahm look to add to their win totals at the track. Add Larry Gelinas, Mike Parks, Tommy O’Sullivan and host of other teams it has the making of a fantastic event.
