NAPLES, ME (December 8) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today the release of the 2017 schedule for the PASS North Super Late Models. The Northeast’s top short trackers will once again compete at some of the best speedways in New England and Canada, highlighted by the 44th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway. The season will begin for the second year in a row at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Connecticut as part of the Icebreaker weekend on April 1-2. After a year hiatus, PASS will return to Canada in 2017 with events in the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick. The PASS North Super Late Models will compete on 10 different speedways in 4 states and 2 Canadian provinces in 2017.

Registration Opens, Technical Inspectors & Rules Announced

Planning is well underway for the 2017 season at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP). Officials from the historic ⅝-mile oval announced that they are receiving car number registrations for their 77th season. Renewals for drivers in the Sunoco Modified, Late Model, Limited Sportsman, Mini Stock, and Lite Modified drivers will continue until January 15. After that date, numbers will be issued on a first come-first served basis. As an incentive, anyone registering their car number from now through January 1, will receive discounted rate of $25. After January 1, the rate will increase to $35. Drivers can visit the competitor info tab under NASCAR Racing on www.thompsonspeedway.com to download the registration form. Instructions for return are also on the form.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the second season in a row, Magnus Racing Products presented a Rookie of the Year Runner up bonus for the Limited Late Model NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division. Taking home a $300 bonus from Magnus in the Limited Late Model division for the 2016 season is Colchester native Bryan Narducci, driver of the #28 DP Motorsports Chevrolet.

Narducci made the move into Stafford’s Limited Late Model division after spending 6 seasons moving through the ranks of the Wild Thing Kart Series on Monday nights. With over 40 wins to his credit in the karts, Narducci took over the #28 DP Motorsports machine that David Arute had piloted to 11 wins in 4 seasons of competition. While Narducci struggled in the early going, he found his groove midway through the 2016 season and drove to 2 wins during his rookie season.

Season Opener Icebreaker set for March 31-April 2

Thompson, CT (December 5, 2016) – Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park today announced dates for the 2017 racing schedule, celebrating its 77th season on the high banked oval. The 2017 seven event NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) schedule is highlighted by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the return of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

“This year’s schedule balances our commitment to tradition and innovation,” states Josh Vanada, General Manager of TSMP. “The 2017 schedule preserves fan favorites while introducing unique and creative events and promotions.”
The speedway will continue to showcase Sunoco Modifieds, which will compete in eight points-counting races supported by the Late Models, Limited Sportsman and Mini Stocks, who will all have seven points-counting races. The Lite Modified Division will race in five of the seven events, but will not race under the NWAAS sanction.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The 2016 season was a year of absence for 22-year old Waterbury native Joey Cipriano from his home track of Stafford Speedway. Cipriano, who was a regular in the SK Modified® and SK Light divisions since the 2010 season, will make his return to the half-mile for the 2017 season behind the wheel of a Late Model.
“I’m really excited to get back to racing every Friday at Stafford no matter if it’s a modified or a late model,” explained Cipriano. “I only have one race in a fendered car so it’s going to be something new for me and something different.”

Cipriano will be behind the wheel of the Chris DuPont owned #33 Late Model campaigned on a part-time basis by Peter Thickett and P.J. Zarella during the last few season.
