Fredericton, NB – Mother Nature continued to shine on Speedway 660 on Saturday night with over 3500 fans treated to another great night of racing. The event was a combined event with DQ Kids day and the LeisureFamilyRV.com Street Stock 75 lapper highlighting the night. Over 800 children turned out for the always fun Candy Scramble, a record number for the event.

Jason Bonnett Wins Bond/WIX Tiger Tour 100 at Canaan

Canaan, NH – St. Albans, Vermont’s Jason Bonnett claimed the win in the third Bond/WIX Tiger Tour 100 event of 2010 held at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, NH on Saturday, August 21. Bonnett survived four early cautions as he climbed his way through the field from his 15th starting position to inherit second on lap 20 after Joel Hodgdon was spun out of the lead by Derrick O’Donnell. After a three lap battle with rookie Jason Corliss, Bonnett took the lead for good and dominated the remainder of the event.

Tony Rossi claimed second while current point leader Tom Therrien worked his way back to a third place finish after being involved in an early caution. Hodgdon recovered to take fourth followed by Jimmy Hebert completing the top five. O’Donnell finished sixth followed by David Finck, Bobby Therrien, Josh Demers and Jay Webb.

Scarborough,Maine-Charlie Colby scored his second NASCAR Pro Series 40 lap feature race win on Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Don Colpritt, Randy Snow and Matt Dow were also feature winners. Colby jumped into the lead at the drop of the green flag and appeared to be headed for an easy win. Scott Moore thought otherwise and moved inside of the leader on lap 20 as Colby hung tough to his outside. Moore led laps 20 thru 23 and Then Colby went back in front of the field. Bill Rodgers arrived on the scene to challenge Colby over the final laps but Colby would take the win by a car length over Rodgers as the checkered flag waved. Moore was third with David Oliver and Bill Whorff Jr fourth and fifth.

Stafford Motor Speedway this past Friday night with the 3rd Annual Late
Model 100, the second extra distance event of the 2010 season. Joining the
Late Model 100 was Stafford’s SK Modifieds®, SK Light Modifieds, DARE
Stocks, and twin 20-lap Limited Late Model feature events. J.J. Hill was
the big winner of the evening, taking his first career victory in the
100-lap extra distance classic. Newly crowned NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series National Champion Keith Rocco took his 9th feature victory of the
2010 season in the 40-lap SK Modified® feature event, Tommy Barrett, Jr.
took his 7th win of the 2010 season in the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature,
Andrew Durand and Rob Dow were the winners of the 20-lap Limited Late Model
features, and Kyle Casagrande became the first three-time winner of the 2010

Thompson, CT (August 19, 2010): Woody Pitkat of Stafford, CT, dodged a bullet in the opening laps of the Sunoco Modified feature event and then looked like he was shot out of a cannon to score a dominating win at Thompson International Speedway on Thursday night. Larry Barnett of Moosup, CT, reached a milestone on Thursday night; scoring his 50th Limited Sportsman feature win at Thompson in dominating fashion. Derek Ramstrom of Worcester, MA, scored his sixth Super Late Model feature win of the season while Rick Gentes of Woonsocket, RI, scored his fifth in Late Model action.

Donahue Makes It Back to Back on ACE Hardware Night

Barre, VT – Graniteville’s “Irish” John Donahue took his second straight Late Model feature win on Vermont ACE Hardware night at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT on Thursday, August 19. Donahue took the green flag from the tenth position and worked his way through heavy traffic after the only caution of the event came on lap one. He battled his way by Shelburne’s Jamie Fisher to take the lead on lap 32 and went uncontested for the remainder of the 50 lap race.

Fisher held on for second followed by Mike Bailey, Rich Lowrey and Senator Phil Scott who made up some ground in the 2010 “King of the Road” title hunt. Nick Sweet’s sixth place finish unofficially brought him within two points of the point lead going into next Thursday’s final point counting event. Matt White took seventh, current point leader Dave Pembroke took eighth followed by Cris Michaud and Cody Blake rounding out the top ten.

TRAVIS BEALE TAKES 95 LITTLE ENDURO FEATURE

Travis Beale of Hampden won the caution free Little Enduro feature at Speedway 95 Wednesday night, but it wasn’t until lap 14 of the 20 lap event that he went into the lead. Donny Blanchard of Bangor led the early laps until Andrew Crosby of Hermon took the lead on lap 9. Crosby held the lead until lap 14 when Beale went by him and held the lead for the last 6 laps. Blanchard was able to get back by Crosby to finish in second, with Crosby ending up third. Newburgh’s Darren Durrell came from the back of the 21 car field to finish fourth with Brock Worster of Kingman finishing fifth.

OXFORD, Maine – Oxford Plains Speedway announced today that the 38th annual TD Bank 250 will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2011. Qualifying for the event will begin at 2 pm. For the eighth straight season, the event will be contested on an open date for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

“We are looking forward to another great TD Bank 250 in 2011,” Speedway owner Bill Ryan announced. “Our fans have come to expect to watch not only the superstars of the Late Model ranks from throughout New England and Canada, but to also watch NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers compete for the coveted TD Bank win.”

Laquerre Tops ACT Test and Tune at NHMS Day 2

Loudon, NH – Montpelier, Vermont’s Joey Laquerre topped the speed charts of day number 2 of the ACT Test and Tune session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Wednesday. Laquerre averaged 119 miles per hour on his fast lap of 32 seconds flat. He came up just hundredths of a second behind yesterday’s fast time set by Brian Hoar.

Turner, Maine’s Ben Rowe, Hudson, New Hampshire’s Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. and Patrick Laperle of Montreal, Quebec were the only other competitors of the day to break into the 32.0 range.
