Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Looks for Repeat at Riverside

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr.Groveton, NH – Veteran driver and perennial American Canadian Tour Championship Contender Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, NH is off to the best start of his ten (10) year ACT career and currently sits atop the standings. This Saturday, June 7, he will look to continue his run of three straight top fives as the tour heads to Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH for the Central Asphalt Paving 150. He will have to fend off the likes of Jimmy Hebert, most recent ACT winner Ray Parent, and a host of others.

One year ago, Polewarczyk marched from his 12th place starting position to lead the final 39 laps of the ACT 150 at Riverside on his way to his second of three straight ACT wins. His three wins on the season helped him earn second in the 2013 final ACT standings. This season his hunger for a title is more apparent than ever. His intensity and focus guided him to second in the season opener at Lee, fourth at Thunder Road and third in the most recent ACT event at Airborne.

Joey Polewarczyk wins Granite State Pro Stock Canaan 100 finale

Joey Pole made history on September 14, adding name to the impressive list of winners for the Granite State Pro Stock Series on Saturday, and also by winning the final race at the 1/3 mile banked oval. 28 cars attempted to qualify for this historic event, with 22 taking the green flag.

2012 Canaan Pro Stock Champion Jeremy Davis, winner of the May 4th event, led the field down to the green, but the caution came out before the first lap could be completed, setting a tone for the event. By the time the race was 10 laps in, four cars had already retired from the event. Pole and Davis took time leading the race with Davis leading all but the opening two cirsuits.

At the lap 25 mark, Davis continued to hold on with Pole second, Matt Frahm third, Bobby Baillargeon fourth and Larry Gelinas fifth. The seventh caution of the affair came out on the 34th lap for Wayne Heliwell Sr. Another handful of cautions slowed up the event by the halfway point. By this time, Pole had re-taken the lead over Davis, Gelinas, Davis and Frahm.

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Captures ACT International 500 Win

Plattsburgh, NY – Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, NH, still looking uphill at the $25,000 ACT International 500 winner’s prize as the end of the 300-lap race neared, passed Patrick Laperle with 15 laps remaining to win the inaugural event before one of the largest crowds in Airborne Speedway history Sunday, July 21.

Polewarczyk Jr. outpointed 8-time ACT champion Brian Hoar by winning the first two 100-lap segments of the 300-lap event with Hoar close behind in 2nd place both times.

When Hoar took command halfway through the final segment and went on to win it, Polewarczyk Jr. needed to finish 2nd to win the overall event. With 30 laps remaining, Polewarczyk trailed second-place Patrick Laperle by six car-lengths. The final event points totals were Polewarczyk 4 points (1-1-2) to Hoar’s 5 points (2-2-1).

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Dominates TD Bank Oxford 250

ACT American Canadian TourACT Veteran Pockets One of the Biggest Checks in 250 History

American Canadian Tour star Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, NH dominated the 39th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford (ME) Plains Speedway on Sunday, July 22nd. The ACT veteran wheeled his Ford-powered Pole’s Automotive machine to one of the biggest paydays in Oxford 250 history at $45,500, while leading over 200 laps. Polewarczyk maneuvered through heavy lapped traffic throughout the majority of the event and held off a late race charge from Jeff Taylor and fellow ACT competitor Austin Theriault in second and third respectively.

Polewarczyk jumped out to a commanding lead early from the outside pole and lapped nearly half of the 39-car field before the first caution of the event flew on lap 69. With multiple lap cars cushioning his lead over the rest of the lead lap cars, Polewarczyk quickly stretched out his lead again after returning to green and was a half a track ahead when the second caution of the event came out on lap 135.

Joey Polewarczyk wins the 2012 TD Bank 250

Joey Polewarczyk Jr. wins the TD Bank 250 with Jeff Taylor second and Austin Theriault third. The Race was incredibly quick and relatively caution free Oxford 250. Joey will take home $45,500. The biggest purse since Ralph Nason won $46,400 in 1998.
