Driving clinic targeted to develop crucial winter driving skills

With winter arriving tomorrow, Skip Barber Racing School and The Next Street have announced a series of one day Winter Driving Clinics. The full day programs will be presented in the infield facilities of Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut. Dates for the classes begin in December and stretch into March.

“The most important element of any of our courses, from our Teen Safety and Survival School through to our Two Day Advanced Racing School is always safety” commented Skip Barber Racing School President and CEO Anthony DeMonte. “This comprehensive one day course matches classroom sessions on vehicle dynamics and highway safety with driving experiences designed to learn control of skids, emergency lane changes and situational driving awareness. It’s an essential course for all winter drivers.”

Presented in conjunction with The Next Street, Connecticut’s largest and most comprehensive teenage driving school, the program will have a high instructor to student ratio and provide every participant ample time behind the wheel. Each clinic includes catered breakfast and lunch, and concludes with a formal graduation ceremony.

“We’re pleased to combine our full teaching curriculum with the comprehensive driving knowledge of the Skip Barber Racing School,” offered Brandon Dufour, General Manager of The Next Street. “With over 70 locations teaching upwards of 10,000 students each year, we’ve been consistently voted the best driving school in Connecticut — something we’re very proud of. By working with the deep experience of the Skip Barber program, this Winter Safe Driving Clinic will be an exceptional experience for all drivers.”

Sessions of the Skip Barber/ Next Street Winter Safe Driving Clinics will be offered at Lime Rock Park on select weekends from December through April 2019. Information and registration are available by calling 866-932-1949 or visiting the Skip Barber Racing School website at www.skipbarber.com.
