NAPLES, ME (January 7) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today an additional event for the inaugural PASS Commonwealth Classic at Richmond Raceway slated for Saturday, March 30.  The PASS National Championship Super Late Models will headline the Commonwealth Classic and will now feature a Super Late Model Open race, along with a race for Stock Crate Super Late Models.  Both races will be 75 laps and will pay $7,000 to win and $700 to start.  For drivers opting to compete in both events, they will be allowed to use their highest finish to count towards the 2019 PASS National Championship.

“We originally looked at making this a race for Stock Crates only, but we received an overwhelming amount of feedback from teams with built, spec and other types of engine combinations so we decided to have two separate races,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry.  “In the end, the fans are definitely the biggest winners.  Now instead of seeing five events, they will have six great races to watch at Richmond.  It makes this weekend of grassroots racing even bigger.”

In addition to the Twin 75s for the PASS Super Late Models, fans will see another 75-lapper for the Tour-Type Modifieds in their return to Richmond Raceway for the first time since 2002.  Additionally, the MASS Street Stocks will race for 40 laps in their first trip to Richmond, while the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models will race for 65 laps. And, the 4-Cylinders will complete this amazing night of grassroots short track racing.

Entry forms for the PASS Super Late Model, Tour-Type Modifieds, and MASS Street Stocks, along with 2019 license forms and Richmond garage stall reservation forms, are now available at ProAllStarsSeries.com.  ACT Late Model teams can find entry forms at acttour.com and 4-Cylinder entry forms are available northeastministocktour.com.

Optional hauler parking and safety inspection will be held on Thursday, March 28 from Noon to 4 PM.   A practice day for all divisions is scheduled for Friday, March 29 from 11 AM to 5 PM. On Saturday, March 30, additional practice will start at 9 AM, followed by qualifying at 1 PM, and racing set to begin at 3 PM, all ending under the lights at Richmond Raceway.  Sunday, March 31 has been confirmed and will be available if a rain date is needed.

The PASS Commonwealth Classic at Richmond Raceway will be a featured event on the expanded PASS National Championship Series in 2019.  Now entering its 12thseason, Super Late Model racing’s only true national championship will bring drivers together from all over North America to compete this Spring at Richmond Raceway.
