WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Heritage Family Credit Union members can circle Father’s Day on their calendars: Devil’s Bowl Speedway will once again offer free admission for all HFCU members at the annual “Member Night” event on Sunday, June 16.  Officials from HFCU and Devil’s Bowl also confirmed that the event will continue in 2020 as well, which will mark its 15th year at the Rutland County dirt track.

All HFCU members who present a valid HFCU debit card, checkbook, or account statement at the Devil’s Bowl ticket window on June 16 will receive free grandstand general admission.  All five weekly stock car racing divisions will be in action during the event, and the popular “Kids Penny Drop” – which gives kids in different age groups 60 seconds to scramble for $100 in pennies donated by HFCU – will be held during intermission.

For the first time in 2019, the “Member Night” event will coincide with the annual Father’s Day “Topless” special.  The topless event features wild-looking cars as the Sportsman Modified and Limited Sportsman divisions remove their roofs and the 500cc Mini Sprint cars take off their wings.  Race fans get a different look and drivers get a different feel with the open-cockpit cars, and the topless event has historically produced incredible racing; Josh Sunn won the 2018 edition of the Sportsman topless race which featured incredible racing that was three-, four-, and even five-wide at times.
