Full Moons always spell disaster on race night, and so at the weekly drivers meeting the drivers were asked to please not make it a typical full moon madness night, and that is exactly what they did with both of the Ridge’s headline divisions going green to checkers in their main events!

Sometime starting position is everything, especially when the track is fast and there are no cautions waving to regroup the pack. Matt Lashua was the one to capitalize on just such conditions in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds. Taking the lead on lap 4 he cruzed on for the win over Kevin Chaffee and Richie Simmons who simply ran out of time to set any hard challenges against him. Chris Donnelly in the Tim Tucker machine and Robert Tucker rounded out the top five.

The big mover in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupe coming from the next to the last row was last year’s champion Melvin Pierson. Pierson watch the front to spots for 29 laps as Tad Kingsbury having gotten the lead on lap one never let anyone take him down. Earl Maxham was the one dogging him for the 29 laps and due to lap traffic ended up falling to third on the last lap. The final three would be Kingsbury, Pierson, and Maxham. Rookie Cody Copeland and the willy veteran Bob Kilburn completed the top five.

The USAC DMA Midgets only had two cautions slowing their pace for their 25 lap main event. Mike Chaffee succumbed to Adam Whitney on lap four for the lead with Whitney falling to Will Hull on Lap eight. Hull dominated the rest of the race. Whitney and Chaffee swapped for 2nd and 3rd until the first caution on lap twelve. The restart gave Seth Carlson and Joe Krawiec the opportunity to get the jump for the 2nd and 3rd positions. When the checkers waved, Hull grabbed the win with Carlson taking second and Krawiec third. Dean Christensen and Adam Whitney finished the top five.

John Neddo appears o be on a role in the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models as he grabs his second win in a row. He beat out Nicholas Longley and Mike Santaw who crossed the line in second and third. Kelly Miller and George Osgood completed the top five.

Owen Carbee took the lead from the pole sitter on lap one in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders and led the pack to the checkers after a first lap caution the only one for their event slowed the field. Zach Audet and the Mainiac Jason Porter swapped back and forth for the bridesmaid spot for the night. When the checkers waved Porter beat out Audet who took the final victory lane spot. Buddy Welch and Kevin LaForest rounded
