2019 the 52nd season Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank night wins go to Kevin Chaffee as he sweeps the night in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds

It was an action packed night of racing at Bear Ridge Speedway on Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank night Saturday with a full card of racing for the 99Rock Weekly Series along with the completion of the Sportsman Coupe Feature halted by rain on R & M Automotive night the previous week along with makeup Features for the Limited Late Models and Sportsman Modifieds.

t was an action packed night of racing at Bear Ridge Speedway on Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank night Saturday with a full card of racing for the 99Rock Weekly Series along with the completion of the Sportsman Coupe Feature halted by rain on R & M Automotive night the previous week along with makeup Features for the Limited Late Models and Sportsman Modifieds.

It was the Kevin Chaffee benefit night in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds as he swept the night, taking the victory in both Feature events. The held over Feature found Mike Dunn fire from the pole and lead the first 10 laps before Kevin Chaffee blasted into the lead and started to pull away from the field. The only caution of the event flew on lap 18 for Todd Buckwold, who had a problem in turn 2. When the race resumed Chaffee maintained the lead and pulled away from the competition to take the impressive win. Richie Simmons held off a determined charge by Jordan Fornwalt to claim second with Fornwalt third. Early Leader Mike Dunn was fourth with Robert Tucker completing the top five. In the regular Feature Todd Buckwold claimed the top spot at the drop of the green, maintaining the lead through three cautions. It was a torrid battle behind Buckwold with Tanner Siemons, Jordan Fornwalt and Terry Williams swapping the runner-up spot numerous times. While this was occurring Kevin Chaffee was working his way to the front from his 14th starting spot using the high side. Chaffee arrived in the runner-up spot on lap 33 and working the outside groove made the pass for the lead with five laps remaining running to his 2nd win of the evening. Todd Buckwold took the second spot with Jordan Fonwalt, Tanner Siemons and Matt Lashua rounding out the top five

The Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes  picked up their Feature from last week with 13 laps complete with Tanner Siemons holding the top spot and Josh Harrington second. On lap 17 Tad Kingsbury moved to second and an entertaining battle for the lead ensued with Kingsbury taking the lead on lap 22. Siemons was not done however as after briefly dropping to third he used the outside with the duo running side-by-side for the lead for the last 4 laps of the event. At the checkers it was Tanner Siemons taking the win with Chris LaForest slipping by Tad Kingsbury on the last lap to take second with Kingsbury third. Brian Chaffee and rookie Cody Copeland completed the top five. The Regular feature found rookie Jeremy Hodge start on the pole and take the lead from Jason Horniak after the first lap in a race slowed by only a single caution. While Hodge would take the win he had constant pressure from a host of competitors as the battle for the top five spots was intense the entire race. Tad Kingsbury nosed ahead for a single lap on the outside with only a handful of laps remaining but couldn’t maintain the momentum needed. At the finish it was Jeremy Hodge with an exciting win. Tad Kingsbury was second with Melvin Pierson third. Chris LaForest and Josh Harrington rounded out the top five.

In the USAC DMA Midgets it was the Adam Whitney show as he took the lead at the drop of the green and led the entire way in the 25 lap event, surviving three caution flags along the way to take an impressive victory by a substantial margin. Will Hull methodically worked his way towards the front, claiming the second spot at the checkers with Joe Krawiec third. Ageless veteran Jeff Horn was fourth with Seth Carlson fifth in a borrowed ride after suffering mechanical failure in his heat.

The C.A. Miller Limited Late Models ran double Features with John Neddo taking an impressive win in the make-up Feature with Kelly Miller and Mike Santaw second and third respectively. The regularly scheduled Feature saw George Osgood take the lead early and run to the win. John Neddo was second and Kelly Miller third.

The Peanuts Auto Four Cylinder Feature was an entertaining event although once Buddy Welch took the lead from Bobby Bell on lap 9 restart he led the rest of the event to take the win. Behind Welch it was a beehive of activity with Owen Carbee eventually claiming the second spot with Zach Audet third. Reigning Champion Jason Porter was fourth with Kevin LaForest fifth.
