Ingles Performance wraps up successful 2019-20 snocross season
Patenaude carries Ingles/Ski-doo colors to ESXT Pro title
PHOENIX, New York (March 30, 2020) — Despite a warmer than average winter across much of the northeast, athletes on the Ingles Performance/Ski-doo snocross team still managed to deliver wins and podium finishes from early December through mid-March.
Team athletes Leo Patenaude, Adam Ashline, Alissah Ashline, Marco Travaglini and Jake Boutwell all put in stellar performances for the longtime Ski-doo squad from upstate New York. Patenaude, of Hartland, VT, went after the inaugural Eastern Snocross Tour (ESXT) Pro championship, and got it done.
“I feel like I had a great season here in the east,” Patenaude said. “I won six of the nine rounds held on the new series, and it felt great. The sled was dialed in perfect all winter, I hardly had to change a thing. It really helps when the sled is a rocket right out of the crate. I’m proud to earn a title for this Ingles Performance/Ski-doo squad. They gave me what I needed to win races and the championship.”
The Ashline siblings both did very well here in the east and in national competition. This brother-sister duo from Hartland, Vermont, have honed their skills on tracks all across the snowbelt. Alissah finished fourth in Pro Women final points, while Adam landed on the podium several times.
Travaglini, of Norfolk, CT, finished a respectable ninth in final points in the ultra-competitive ISOC FXR Sport National division. Boutwell, of Keene, N.H., was consistent all season and finished second in two ISOC classes, Jr. 14-15 and Jr. 16-17. Jake has a very bright future in snocross racing.
Ingles Performance also supported rising stars Gavin Fleury and Trevor Parent in 2020. Fleury, of Ticonderoga, NY, ran up front with the leaders in Pro Lite on the ESXT circuit. He credits a great sled a skilled race team behind him as factors in his success.
“All in all, it was a pretty good season,” Fleury said. “We didn’t get the results we wanted, but that just makes me push harder for next season. I can’t thank the entire Ingles Performance/Ski-doo team enough for all their support.”
Parent, also of Ticonderoga, put in a solid season aboard his No. 112 ride on the ESXT circuit. He showed good consistency all winter and made big strides.
“Overall I had a good season with some ups and downs,” Parent said. “I improved a lot from last year and am happy with how this year played out. I ended up fifth in the final point standings.”
Other athletes on the Ingles Performance team who enjoyed strong seasons include Chris Ingles and Jason Boron. Both rider represented the team well every time they unloaded their sleds. All of them, in ISOC and here in the east, from seasoned veterans to rising stars, all made the commitment.
Team co-owner Robin Ingles reflected on the highly unusual winter that included the Duluth National getting snowed out, a warm winter in the east and two ISOC Nationals getting canceled due
to the global COVID-19 outbreak. Fortunately, the national and regional series were able to conduct several race weekends.
“There were some unusual circumstances from start to finish, yet our riders stayed focused and brought home the hardware once again,” Ingles said. “Leo was fast all year, and all of our riders made big progress as the season unfolded. I’m very proud of our results in the 2019-2020 season.”
