Stafford Speedway returned to racing on Friday, June 12th with the Lu-Mac’s Package Store / WTD Logistics LLM 30, the biggest purse paying Limited Late Model race in Stafford history. Josh Wood scored his first Late Model win of the 2026 season while Sami Anderson took down her first career SK Light victory at Stafford.
Rain came with 9 laps complete in the Street Stock feature, postponing that race as well as the SK Modified® and Lu-Mac’s Package Store / WTD Logistics 30-lap feature to a future date to be determined. Anyone who had tickets for the June 12th Lu-Mac’s Package Store / WTD Logistics LLM 30 program will be able to use their tickets for a future Stafford Speedway event.
In the 30-lap Late Model feature, Adon Burrell took the early lead at the drop of the green flag with Josh Wood taking second ahead of Kevin Gambacorta in third. Wood took the lead from Burrell on lap-3 which brought Gambacorta to second, Adam Gray to third, Chris Buffone to fourth, Wayne Coury, Jr. to fifth and Paul Varricchio, Jr. to sixth as Burrell slid from the lead all the way back to seventh place.
With 10 laps complete, Wood was still in command with Gambacorta, Gray, Buffone, and Coury lined up behind him. Wood had stretched his lead out to several car lengths over Gambacorta in second and Gray in third with Gray having pulled away from Buffone in fourth.
The running order remained the same until lap-20 when Coury made a move to take over fourth place from Buffone. Buffone began to slide backwards as Varricchio took fifth, Michael Bennett took sixth, and Chris Meyer took seventh before Buffone got back into line in eighth place. Meyer’s good run came to an end as his car dropped off the pace on lap-23 and he slowly crawled his way back to pit road.
Gambacorta couldn’t get close enough to Wood to make a move as Wood took down his first win of the 2026 season. Gray finished third with Coury and Varricchio rounding out the top-5.
In the 20-lap SK Light feature, Sami Anderson took the lead at the green flag on the outside of Dylan Houghton, who settled into second place. Casey Vogt was third with Cassandra Cole fourth and the side by side duo of Daltin McCarthy and Paul Arcari were dueling for fifth place. The caution came out with 3 laps complete for a multi car incident in turn 4 involving the cars of Connor Christmas, Ben Morrison, Eddie Gomarlo, and Norm Sears.
Anderson took the lead back under green with Houghton again right behind her in second. Cole was up to third with Bogt fourth and McCarthy fifth. Houghton nearly took the lead on lap-6 but Anderson was able to maintain the lead. Vogt spun coming out of turn 4 on lap-9 but he was able to quickly refire his car and the race stayed green.
As the field hit the halfway point, Anderson was still leading Houghton, Cole, McCarthy, and the side by side duo of Nick Anglace and Tyler Barry. Barry won the duel with Anglace to take fifth place while Anderson was still leading Houghton with 4 laps to go. Houghton was all over Anderson’s bumper in the final laps but he couldn’t find a way to get past as Anderson scored her first career Stafford SK Light feature win. Houghton finished second with Cole, McCarthy, and Anglace rounding out the top-5.
In the 20-lap Street Stock feature, PJ Evans took the early lead ahead of David Ciastko and Roger Mahieu before the caution flew with 1 lap complete for Scott Sundeen, who spun on the backstretch coming out of turn 2. Evans took the lead on the restart but his time at the front was short as Kolton Gambacorta took over the lead on lap-3. Ryan Waterman moved up to second with Brent Gleason third and Brandon Warren fourth. Evans slid from the lead back to fifth place, just in front of Jason Raymond who was sixth.
Waterman made a move to the inside of Gambacorta on lap-8 and he took the lead. Gambacorta would only lose one position as he slotted into second right behind Waterman with Gleason, Warren, and Raymond making up the top-5. Mahieu spun coming out of turn 4 to bring the caution flag back out with 9 laps complete. Under the caution flag, rain began to fall which forced the postponement of the remainder of the Lu-Mac’s Package Store / WTD Logistics LLM 30 program to a date to be determined.
