Rocco Continues To Roll Along At The Speedbowl
-Fourteen-Year-Old Andrew Molleur Snags Second Win Of The Year-

WATERFORD, CT (August 5, 2017): Keith Rocco took down the 35-lap SK Feature for the fourth time in 2017, and for the 142nd time in his career. It was Todd Owen’s grabbing the lead as the green flag flew. It wasn’t long for Teddy Christopher to power his way to the lead. With Christopher pacing the field it was Rocco working around the high side to move into second. The Berlin, CT driver used the inside groove to move past Christopher and had to hold off a quick charging Kyle James and cruised to the checkered flag for the win. Rounding out the top five was Rocco, Kyle James, Christopher, Owens and Dylan Izzo.

MR ROOTER PRO TRUCK SERIES AND WATERFORD SPEEDBOWL TRUCKS TO MERGE
-Duel Points Will Be Awarded-

WATERFORD, CT (July 28, 2017)- Competition Director of the Mr. Rooter Pro Trucks Series Marshall Hurley and the NLWS General Manager George Whitney confirmed Friday that the two will be merging for the remainder of the season. The two will run dual points and championships. “Anything under 20-trucka for an event is unacceptable,” Hurley stated.
With the two merging, they will be a very competitive field.

Kyle James Grabs First Win Of 2017

WATERFORD, CT (7-30-17): It was Nostalgia Night at The New London – Waterford Speedbowl. The Near Group along with the Stars Club had their vehicles set up on the midway so the fans can check out the cars and stars of yester years. The two groups ran features during the evening as well.

The Late Models for the second week had group qualifying with the top six inverted for the 30-lap feature. It was Berlin, CT’s Keith Rocco leading the way with a time of 15.385. East Hampton, CT’s Anthony Flannery took down his second win of the 2017 season. Flannery started on the outside pole and wasn’t really threatened for the win. Rounding out the top five were Jason Palmer, Rocco, Chris Garside and Pole sitter Michael Benevides.

WATERFORD, CT: Dan Meservey (Pro-Modifieds) and The Speedbowl’s George Whitney announced today that a special Pro-4 Modified Connecticut Championship Series will be running at The Speedbowl. The Series will be separate from the Pro-4 Series (Club Version). The dates of the four events are August 5th, August 26th, September 16th and October 21st (The Speedbowl’s Finale weekend).

WILD AND WACKY WEDNESDAY LIVES UP TO THE NAME
-3 First Time Winners In Victory Lane Tonight –

WATERFORD, CT (July 26, 2017) Tonight’s edition of Wild and Wacky Wednesday’s lived up to the billing. You had numerous red flags, a flip and a division that just couldn’t get going.

Up first on the night was the July 12th Bandoleros make up event. It was Kensington, CT’s Tyler Alkas grabbing the quick lead. A handful of laps passed and it was #71 of Ari Jencik grabbing the lead and held on for her first ever win in just four starts. The Canton, CT driver was just as nervous in Victory Lane as she did holding on the last four laps for the win. “My Dad got me here. The closing laps I was a little nervous but I just drove my line and we won,” finished up Jencik. Rounding out the top five in the 20-lap feature were Ethan Simmons, Zachary Martinez, Maddie Harkin and Brody Monahan.

New London Waterford Speedbowl 8/20/16 Results

WaterfordWATEFORD – Tyler Chadwick and Keith Rocco picked up victory in the premier SK Modified features Saturday night at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

Rocco also won the Late Model feature. Cory DiMatteo won the SK Light Modified feature. Chris Meyer scored victory in the Limited Sportsman feature. Charles Canfield won the Mini Stock feature.

Chadwick, of Ledyard, got his third victory of the season in the first 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature.
Joe Gada of Salem was second and Todd Owen of Somers third.
