DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 8, 2017) — NASCAR today announced the 20 nominees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s Class of 2018, as well as the five nominees for the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. Each name made an indelible mark on the sport, whether from behind the wheel or atop a pit box … or even from inside a broadcast booth. After long careers that have helped shape NASCAR, all are now one step closer to its highest honor – enshrinement into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Included among the list are five first-time nominees, all racing heroes who earned race wins, championships … and millions of fans. (more…)
Kenseth, Truex to Participate in Fifth Annual “Dover vs. Pocono Rivalry Day” on May 3
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (March 6, 2017) – Dover International Speedway and Pocono Raceway will meet for their fifth annual track-vs.-track competition on Wednesday, May 3 with “Dover vs. Pocono Rivalry Day” at Coca-Cola Park, home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, in Allentown, Pa.
The game will feature Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Matt Kenseth (Team Pocono) and Martin Truex Jr. (Team Dover). The rosters for each team will be rounded out with members of national and local motorsports media, as well as other local media personalities. (more…)

WALK US THROUGH THAT PROCESS. “It was part of the battle. That is how these races go in the Xfinity Series. You have a lot of diversity as far as speed in the cars out there and that is not a bad thing. When you catch those slower cars it is always a game of cat and mouse. Sometimes it feels like chicken. I kept catching them all in the wrong damn place and I thought that kept me from having a shot at catching Kyle there. I caught one with three or four to go and it killed my run off four. Right there I needed to pop that bubble but kept losing one or two car lengths every time through traffic. All in all it was a good day for us. We were super competitive with the 22 Discount Tire Ford and we are proud of that but we want to get wins too.” (more…)
