Devil’s Bowl Speedway to be Independently Sanctioned in 2019

More drivers to benefit from new program at Vermont track

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has taken the next big step forward in its progression by announcing today that it will carry its own sanctioning and licensing for the 2019 season.  The move will better position the half-mile Vermont dirt track for both the present and future and is the latest in a recent series of major improvements to both the physical property and infrastructure of the business.

Thirty-nine drivers nominated for Sportsmanship, Most Improved honors

RUTLAND, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has revealed a list of nominees on its voting ballot for the annual Sportsmanship and Most Improved Driver awards.  Thirty-nine drivers from five divisions at the half-mile dirt track are eligible for the honors, with the winners to be announced at the Banquet of Champions on Saturday, January 26 at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, Vermont.

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Two of Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s all-time winners had reason to celebrate on Sunday, September 23, as Kenny Tremont Jr. and Tim LaDuc stood in Victory Lane in the 2018 dirt track stock car racing season finale. Tremont extended his track record to nine career championships, leading a parade of title winners that included Brent Warren, Chris Murray, Kaleb Shepard, and Cody O’Brien.

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Brett Hearn added to his legendary dirt Modified stock car racing career at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday, September 16 by winning the biggest event in the track’s 52-year history at the Interstate All Battery Center Vermont 200. The Kinnelon, N.J., star entered as the favorite to win the $10,000 prize, but the race was anything but easy before he tallied the 910th win of his career and his first at Devil’s Bowl since 1994 in front of a monster grandstand crowd.
