(Alan Ward photo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em>Barre, Vt.<\/em> \u2013 Thunder Road Speedbowl officials announced today that Lenny\u2019s Shoe &amp; Apparel \u00a0has signed a multi-year agreement to become the title sponsor of the track\u2019s famed Flying Tiger division. The family owned and operated business has five locations throughout Vermont and New York.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Flying Tigers have been a mainstay of Thunder Road for most of the track\u2019s 58-year history and have competed weekly at the Barre high banks since 1982. The Limited Late Model\u2013type car has served as the track\u2019s intermediate class for the past 25 years. In addition to the new entitlement agreement, the division has also resumed the \u201cFlying Tiger\u201d name after competing as the Tiger Sportsmen since 2003.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLenny\u2019s is very pleased to be able to continue its support of Thunder Road,\u201d Lenny\u2019s Shoe &amp; Apparel co-owner Mark McCarthy said.\u00a0 \u201cAs the largest outdoor sports venue in the area Lenny\u2019s serves, this sponsorship will continue to give our company added exposure to the outdoorsmen or women of Thunder Road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lenny\u2019s Shoe and Apparel offers a large selection of high-quality brands like Carhartt, Columbia, Keen, Merrell, Dansko, and New Balance for men, women, and children. Lenny\u2019s has been outfitting families, hunters, athletes, and laborers since 1990.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lenny\u2019s has a long history with Thunder Road, and in recent years has sponsored the season-long Lenny\u2019s \u201cHot Shoe Challenge\u201d and end-of-year \u201cHottest Shoe\u201d Championship awards programs.
