Forward Dominates for the Sportsman Modified Victory<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>      The O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Series saw T.C. Forward take his first win of the season in the Peanut\u2019s Auto Sportsman Modifieds, Jesse Durkee annexed his first career victory in the Homestead Creations Late Model Sportsman and Erin Aiken nabbed her second win on the dirt this season in the Rand\u2019s Hardware Outlaw Mini Stocks. The Granite State Mini Sprints were on hand for the second time this year with William Pinkham Sr taking the 500cc event and Tony Shaw best of the 600cc\u2019s.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>     T.C. Forward Jumped into the lead when the green flew in the Peanut\u2019s Auto Sportsman Modifieds with Ricky Sanville claiming the second spot. With just three laps complete the yellow flew for rookie Wayland Childs Jr and David Heath as Childs Jr spun and Heath couldn\u2019t miss him. When the green reappeared Forward and Sanville continued to battle for the lead with Sanville challenging on the high side. A couple of laps later the yellow flew again for a flat tire on the Heath Mount. After racing resumed T.C. Forward slowly pulled away to a commanding lead but that disappeared when another caution flew, this time for Jeff Huntington and Todd Buckwold exiting turn two. The race went green the rest of the way with T.C. Forward claiming the dominating win. Todd Buckwold made a late race charge from the rear to claim second. Ryan Christian was third with Jeff Hunting ton fourth and Lenny Pillsbury completing the top five<\/p>\n<p>     The Homestead Creations Late Model Sportsman Main Event saw rookie Jesse Durkee jump to the lead from the pole position at the drop of the green flag with defending track champion Matt Pike second. The running order stayed the same until a rash of cautions appeared near the mid point of the event.  Once yellow fever subsided Durkee still held the point but the battle for second was intense with Travis Smith, Toby Stark and Bob Crawford swapping spots almost every lap until disaster struck for Stark as he tangled with a lapped car, ending his chance for a podium finish. At the checkers it was Jesse Durkee with his first career win in a Late Model with Travis Smith second and Scott Heath officially third.<\/p>\n<p>      Defending Champion Rich Willey took the lead early in The Rand\u2019s Hardware Outlaw Mini Stocks Main event with Nick Comeau stalking him in second. The duo battled through a couple of yellow flags with Willey maintaining the lead. With nine laps complete Comeau dove underneath Willey out of turn two and took the lead, just a lap later there was contact between the duo and Erin Aiken slid by into the lead bringing Mike McCLay and Shane LaBraney to second and third with her. The running order for the trio remained the same with Erin Aiken claiming her second win of the season. Mike McClay was second with Shane LaBraney third. Sean Lantas and Tim Davis completed the top five<\/p>\n<p>     The Granite State Mini Sprints made their second appearance of the year with William Pinkham SR taking the lead with four laps complete in the 500cc main event to take the win.  Riley Chaffee finished second with his father, Tom Chaffee third. The 600cc Feature saw Tony Shaw and Zach Herbert swap the lead a few times before a mechanical issue ended Herbert\u2019s night. From there Tony Shaw went on to take the win with Tyler Jones second and Brady Lamotte third.<\/p>\n<p>     Joining the regular divisions of the O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Series this Friday night at 7:00PM, June 8th will be the second appearance of the season for the Wingless Auto Club.<\/p>\n<p>The Legion Speedway is located on Route 25 at the Wentworth\/Rumney NH Town line with racing every Friday Night at 7:00 PM.
