\nShowdown<\/strong><\/p>\n

Waterford- The Summer Showdown Legends race is just over two weeks
\naway. The Legends division will compete in a 35 lap special event,
\nshowcasing the division. As an added bonus, the SK Modifieds \u00ae will run
\ntheir 80 Lap feature event that was rained out on Budweiser Blast-Off
\nweekend. This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 30th. The guaranteed
\nwinning pay out in that race is $4150.00.
\n<\/p>\n

As for the Legends, the event will consist of Group Time Sessions to set
\nup the heat races, which will be 10 laps, consolation races, a B-Main,
\nwith the winner having the option to take the $100.00 for the win, or
\npass on the money and move to the A-Main, leaving the 2nd place finisher
\nto get what the winner did not choose. The event will conclude with a
\nguaranteed $2000.00 to win the A-Main, which will only allow 28 cars.
\nLaps are for sale, starting at $20 per lap! Anyone interested in
\nsponsoring a lap should e-mail: mikes@speedbowlct.com and check our
\nFacebook page for updated available laps.<\/p>\n

Guaranteed Legend Car payouts are as follows:
\n1st- $2000.00 6th- $100.00
\n2nd- $700.00 7th- $90.00
\n3rd- $500.00 8th- $80.00
\n4th- $300.00 9th- $70.00
\n5th- $200.00 10th- $60.00
\n11th-28th: $50.00<\/p>\n

The weekend will begin with a Test and Tune Night on Friday, June 29th.
\nThis is available to Legend cars only. Pit gates will open at 3:00 pm,
\nwith on-track activity from 4:00-8:00 pm, followed by a party under the
\ntent, with food and beverages available. Pit admission for Friday night
\nis $20 per person, which includes admission to the party under the tent.
\nOn Saturday, June 30th, pits open for the Legends parking and inspection
\nat 11:00 am. A registration fee or $75 is due at that time, along with
\nthe regualr $30 pit pass. Practice will begin at 1:30 pm. Anyone
\ninterested in contingency sponsorship for the Legends race should

The SK Modifieds \u00ae will follow the normal set Saturday schedule on that
\nday (TBA). This race is open to all Waterford legal SK Modifieds \u00ae
\nregardless if they were there opening day or not. Sponsors for the 80
\nLap event include, Racechoice.com, JJ Dibble Construction, Race Hill
\nFarm, Charles Toyota, Pearson Motorsports, Mod Squad Racing Media,
\nSireci’s Automotive, Filomena’s Restaurant, The Half Keg Tavern, Action
\nCarpentry, The Sireci Family (in memory of Patricia Sireci), Alex
\nCanestrari (in memory of Eddie Bunnell), Bob Potter, NLWS Wrecker Crew,
\nPrestige Motorsports, Roger Gaudio, Brody’s Seafood Market and Deli,
\nRace Works Chassis, RAE Battery, Middletown Tile, Black Flamingo
\nBoutique, 32 Signs, and Jurcik Brothers Racing. The purse to the winner
\nis a guaranteed $4150.00, with lap bonuses and a hard charger award,
\nthat total could increase.<\/p>\n

In addition to the 2 extra distance features, the SK Modified \u00ae Lites,
\nSportsman, Trucks, and Mini Stocks will all be in action for their
\nregularly scheduled distance features. Also, there will be a classic car
