NAPLES, ME<\/strong>(<\/strong>April 17<\/strong>) \u2013 As the 1<\/strong>4<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong>Annua<\/strong>l <\/strong>MyComputerCareer<\/strong>Easter Bunny 150 <\/strong>approaches this weekend, drivers and teams from across <\/strong>North America<\/strong>are making their annual holiday trek to Hickory Motor Speedway.  The action-packed Saturday of racing will also see <\/strong>Mini Stocks added to<\/strong>the Easter Bunny weekend<\/strong>, utilizing Carolina Mini Stock Challenge rules<\/strong>.  <\/strong>Meanwhile,<\/strong>the state<\/strong>of Pro All Stars Series (PASS) <\/strong>Super Late Model racing in the Mid-Atlantic appears to be <\/strong>on the rebound<\/strong>.  As it has since 2006, the MyComputerCareer<\/strong><\/strong>Easter Bunny 150 and its iconic trophy have become bucket list material for many short track racers from across <\/strong>the country<\/strong>.     <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

But, there is even more on the line in this year\u2019s version of the<\/strong><\/strong>MyComputerCareer Easter Bunny 150.  With over 30 cars already entered, the \u201cBunny\u201d has added importance this <\/strong>year as it is once again a part of the prestigious PASS National Championship Series<\/strong>.  Five-time PASS National Champion, Ben Rowe, has seen the Easter Bunny 150<\/strong>grow<\/strong>since its <\/strong>inception<\/strong>in 2006 and he believes <\/strong>it will just to continue to grow as one of short track racing’s premier events<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s just getting bigger and bigger,\u201d says Rowe, a winner of the Easter Bunny 150 in 2009 and 2016.  \u201cEveryone in the south knows t<\/strong>he Easter Bunny at Hickory now.  <\/strong>Just look at Bubba Pollard, one of the best Super Late Model racers in the country is coming to Hickory <\/strong>again to try and get the Easter Bunny trophy<\/strong>, that says a lot.\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other end of the spectrum is <\/strong>second-year PASS racer<\/strong>, Gracie Trotter. Trotter turned heads with an impressive drive in the <\/strong>2017 <\/strong>Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown at Hickory.  Coming off a history making sixth place finish <\/strong>in Asheboro, NC last year<\/strong>, which tied<\/strong>Kenzie Ruston and Tayla Orleans<\/strong>as the best finish by a female ever in PASS competition, Trotter is ready to try her hand again against the best short trackers on the continent.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/strong>I’ve always ran well <\/strong>at Hickory and h<\/strong>olding<\/strong>off Ben Rowe for the win<\/strong>in the last chance race a couple of years ago was huge<\/strong>,\u201d says Trotter.  \u201cThere are a lot of cars in this race so I\u2019m going to have to stay on my toes.  I know if I stay patient, keep the nose clean, and watch ahead, I can get a good finish.\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rowe and Trotter will be up against one of the strongest fields ever assembled on Saturday for the 1<\/strong>4<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong>Annual<\/strong><\/strong>MyComputerCareer Easter Bunny 150<\/strong>, including 6-Time Easter Bunny 150 winner, Preston Peltier, defending Oxford 250 winner, Bubba Pollard, and former Hickory winner and fan favorite, Brandon Setzer.  T<\/strong>hey will <\/strong>be<\/strong>joined by a huge contingent of New Englanders including <\/strong>2-Time Oxford 250 winner, Travis Benjamin<\/strong>, as well as <\/strong>defending PASS National Champion<\/strong>, Derek Griffith,<\/strong>last year’s Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown winner,<\/strong>Derek Ramstrom, Gabe Brown, <\/strong>Ray Christian, III, <\/strong>Jake Johnson,<\/strong>Richmond winner, Mike Hopkins,<\/strong><\/strong>Devin O’Connell, <\/strong>Travis Stearns, and <\/strong>Craig Weinstein<\/strong>.  <\/strong>3-time <\/strong>PASS South <\/strong>champion, Matt Craig will be seeking his first Hickory win, along with southern drivers like New England transplant Wyatt Alexander, as well as<\/strong>Kodie Conner, <\/strong>Justin Crider, former PASS South champion, <\/strong>Tate Fogleman, <\/strong>Jared Irvan<\/strong>, <\/strong>Trey Jarrell<\/strong>, <\/strong>Kyle Plott<\/strong>, and <\/strong>Blaise Rutherford<\/strong>.  Jerrick Johnson will pilot the MyComputer Career machine and will be joined by <\/strong>Kyle Busch Motorsports driver, Amber Balcaen, making her first PASS Super Late Model start<\/strong>.  And two Canadian provinces are currently represented by Ontario\u2019s, JP Josiasse and N<\/strong>ova Scotia’s, Nicholas Naugle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The action kicks off on Friday, with optional practice for <\/strong>the PASS Super Late Model and Mini Stocks<\/strong>from <\/strong>3<\/strong>\u2013 <\/strong>6<\/strong>PM.  On Saturday, practice will begin at <\/strong>2<\/strong>PM, followed by qualifying at 4<\/strong>:30<\/strong>PM, the pit party<\/strong>and Easter egg hunt<\/strong>at <\/strong>6<\/strong>PM, and features for the PASS Super Late Models and <\/strong>Mini Stocks<\/strong>at 7 PM<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
