The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors will run a 50-lap, $500-to-win feature on Labor Day Sunday \u2013 the longest and highest-paying event in the division\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Road Warrior Challenge is being held in tandem with a 30-lap feature that was previously scheduled for Four Cylinder Saturday on August 31.&nbsp; The added Sunday event makes it a doubleheader weekend for Thunder Road\u2019s entry-level division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All cars that enter either the Saturday or Sunday Road Warrior event must be 100 percent legal according to the Thunder Road rule book. The 2019 division rules are available at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thunderroadvt.com\/rules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.thunderroadvt.com\/rules<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEver since we brought back the Road Warriors in 2017, they\u2019ve been one of the most fun things about Thunder Road,\u201d managing partner Cris Michaud said. \u201cThere\u2019s a great group of drivers in the Warrior pits that always put on an entertaining show. We\u2019re excited to put them in the spotlight so fans and potential future racers can see what they\u2019re all about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Road Warrior Challenge joins a Labor Day Sunday program that also includes the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic 200 for the American-Canadian Tour and a 50-lap feature for the Lenny\u2019s Shoe &amp; Apparel Flying Tigers. Post time is 1:30pm with admission set at $25 for adults and free for kids ages 12 and under.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Labor Day Weekend begins with Four Cylinder Saturday on August 31 at 6:00pm. The card features a 50-lap event for the North East Mini Stock Tour along with 35 laps for the Allen Lumber Street Stocks and 30 laps for the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors.
