LAKEVILLE, Conn.\u2014Lime Rock Park (LRP)<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Vintage Racer Group (VRG)<\/a>\u00a0are pleased to announce that the VRG will be joining the\u00a0Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA)<\/a>\u00a0in co-sanctioning the Historic Festival 38 (HF38) Labor Day Weekend in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n


This co-sanctioning effort combines two of the foremost vintage racing organizations in the East, with the premier vintage race event on the East Coast. The five-day HF38 will be held Labor Day Weekend (September 3-7, 2019) and will feature over 200 vintage and historic racers, as well as a world class Concours and Gathering of the Marques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Since 1983, the East Coast\u2019s premier vintage racing and concours event has been the Historic Festival at Lime Rock Park, held annually on Labor Day Weekend. No other racing venue in the country has so much automotive activity packed into five days; beginning with the popular Vintage Sports and Race Car Parade, followed by three days of on-track racing and a prestigious Concours event, all on the same property, all on the same extended weekend.\u00a0The VRG is a non-profit vintage race organization, run by racers, for racers. It is best known for its focus on safety and for its ability to run efficient race events. The addition of the HF38 at LRP to the VRG 2020 schedule puts this \u2018must attend\u2019 event right in the heart of a race season that begins in April at VIR, with race weekends at The Jefferson 500 at Summit Point in May, Thompson Vintage Motorsports Festival in June, the PVGP Historics at PIRC in July, The Bog at Watkins Glen in October and The Turkey Bowl at Summit Point in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The VSCCA annually holds nine events throughout the year, including three at Lime Rock Park: the Spring Sprints held on the first weekend in May, the Fall Finale held on the last weekend in September, as well as the Historic Festival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
