LAKEVILLE, Conn.\u2014Lime Rock Park<\/a>, the historic motorsports and entertainment destination nestled among the hills of bucolic Northwest Connecticut, is gearing up for an impressive 2020 season, including five major events.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n


New in 2020 will be the first-ever\u00a0Touring Car Festival<\/a>\u00a0featuring TC America and Pirelli GT4 America SprintX, both managed by SRO Motorsports America.This exciting, two-day event will kick off Lime Rock\u2019s season with practice and qualifying held on Friday, May 8, and racing on Saturday, May 9.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n


TC America\u2019s popular touring car classes\u2014TCR, TC and TCA\u2014offer some of the best racing in the country with action throughout two 40-minute sprint races. Equally exciting, the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX series features one-hour races with two drivers per car and a mandatory driver change during Pit stops.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to add this new event to next year\u2019s schedule,\u201d said Skip Barber, Lime Rock Park President. \u201cBoth TC America and Pirelli GT4 America bring a high-level of excitement and close racing action.\u201d
Lime Rock\u2019s 2020 Season will continue on May 22-25 with the\u00a0Memorial Day Classic<\/a>\u00a0featuring the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli with Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) and International GT. The traditional holiday weekend will also include the annual Royal\u2019s Garage Sunday Car Show and a Farm-To-Track Picnic, both held on Sunday, May 24.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n


On June 12 and 13, Lime Rock hosts the\u00a0Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) New England Regionals<\/a>\u00a0with classes for every kind of race car imaginable, from virtually stock sedans and sports cars to formula cars of every type.
Lime Rock\u2019s biggest race of the year, the\u00a0IMSA Northeast Grand Prix<\/a>, will be held on July 17-18 with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. This fan-favorite weekend features the fastest GT cars in the country with the GTLM and GTD classes racing simultaneously in the two hour and 40-minute WeatherTech SportsCar race.
Rounding out the season will be the 38th annual\u00a0Historic Festival<\/a>\u00a0held over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-7. Along with 36 races held over three days, the event features the Sunday in the Park Concours and Gathering of the Marques with more than 800 cars on display around the track. This year\u2019s Festival is poised to be larger than ever with the addition of race cars from Vintage Racer Group (VRG) as well as the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
