(April 3, 2020) \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0One of the few certainties in motorsports is that all drivers are eager to add Dover International Speedway\u2019s Monster Trophy to their collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just last year, when all of Dover\u2019s Monster Trophies were made in a brilliant gold color in honor of the track\u2019s 50th anniversary season, winning drivers including Cole Custer, Kyle Larson and Martin Truex Jr. made a point of mentioning how coveted the Monster Mile prize is for all competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI saw the trophy in the driver\u2019s meeting yesterday and I said that\u2019s pretty awesome,\u201d Truex said in May. \u201cThat golden one is special. It\u2019s pretty awesome to win on the 50th anniversary of Dover International Speedway.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, it\u2019s a feeling shared throughout the NASCAR world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a NASCAR.com article headlined \u201cThe Best Trophies In NASCAR, Ranked,\u201d posted on Friday, April 3, the Monster Trophy ranked No. 2 out of 16 track prizes, behind only Martinsville Speedway\u2019s grandfather clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Monster Mile&#8217;s marvelous, mammoth, monster mascot, Miles, makes many memories magnifying medalists\u2019 mantles of mementos,\u201d NASCAR.com\u2019s article states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first Monster Trophy was awarded on Sept. 26, 2004, after Ryan Newman won the \u201cMBNA America 400\u201d NASCAR Cup Series race.
