Waterbury, VT\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials have announced the postponement of the ACT Oxford 150 that was scheduled for Sunday, April 26 at Maine\u2019s Oxford Plains Speedway. No make-up date has been set at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oxford 150 had been slated to open the ACT Late Model Tour and Pro All Star Series (PASS) North seasons. However, a Stay-at-Home order remains in effect for the state of Maine through at least April 30 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, forcing the event\u2019s delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with the also-postponed Community Bank N.A. 150 at Barre, VT\u2019s Thunder Road, ACT officials will wait to reschedule the Oxford event until a clearer picture has emerged about when the 2020 season can begin in earnest. In the meantime, ACT will continue to take guidance on the situation from various state officials and health experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe understand the disappointment from our teams and fans about not being able to race yet,\u201d ACT managing partner Cris Michaud said. \u201cWe want to race, too \u2014 but not at the expense of public health and safety. We also don\u2019t want to get into a position where we\u2019re postponing the same events three or four times and causing even more frustration. When the time comes, we\u2019ll rearrange the schedule all at once in a way that makes sense for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of the top ACT and PASS racers can be seen competing in the Northeast eClassic 75 this Saturday, April 18 at 3:00pm at iRacing\u2019s virtual New Hampshire Motor Speedway. A total of 59 drivers have registered for the event, which will be broadcast live online for free at www.speed51.com\/northeasteclassic<\/a>. Defending ACT Champion Rich Dubeau will be in action along with 2019 runner-up Jimmy Hebert, 8-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar, former Rookie of the Year Dylan Payea, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
