Unfortunately, as the country battles the Covid 19 pandemic, the 2020 season has been put on hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cThe health and safety of our fans and race teams is our number one priority\u201d, stated series promoter Mike Parks. \u201cAs much as we want to be at the track, we will respect the directives of our state officials\u201d. \u201cWe are in a situation where we have more questions than answers\u201d, Parks continued. \u201cWe want to get going just as soon as we can and we are in contact with all of the series track owners on a weekly basis\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; There were three races scheduled for May, all in the state of NH. The event at Star Speedway had already been postponed and now the two day May madness event at Lee has gone by the wayside as well. The final event of the month was to be held at The Monadnock Speedway and the Winchester NH speed plant has recently announced the cancellation of their May schedule.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At this time, the posted schedule has been put on hold with the intention of picking it up when allowed by the state of NH. In addition, a race has tentatively been added to the schedule on Fri. June fifth at The Claremont Motorsports Park if racing is permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cHopefully the racers and fans will continue to stay positive and be ready to come back when the situation allows,\u201d said Parks. \u201cWe all want to be racing sooner rather than later so we\u2019ll keep our fingers crossed\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GSPSS May Schedule Canceled The Month of May was scheduled to be a busy one for the teams of the Granite State Pro Stock Series.
