Modified Schedule for Motorcycle Week at NHMS<\/strong>
Plenty of on-track action at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during Laconia Motorcycle Week, Aug. 22-30.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOUDON, N.H. \u2013 New Hampshire Motor Speedway will host plenty of on-track action during the 97th<\/sup> annual Laconia Motorcycle Week Rally, Aug. 22-30, with a modified schedule of activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Charity rides, select competition events and limited camping will take place at the speedway, but vendor displays, concessions and demo rides are canceled for 2020 in order to support proper social distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racing action kicks off Aug. 22-23 with the United States Classic Racing Association\u2019s FIM North American Vintage Championships on the 1.6-mile road course at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Loudon Road Race Series will host the 97th<\/sup> Annual Loudon Classic \u2013 America\u2019s longest running motorcycle race \u2013 as an expert Middleweight Grand Prix on Aug. 29 as part of the three-day third round of competition for LRRS, Aug. 28-30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Granite State Legends Cars, which are powered by motorcycle engines, will get the on-track action started Aug. 29-30 when the Road Course Series hits the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riders on the 14th<\/sup> Annual Peter Makris Memorial Ride (Aug. 22), AMA Gypsy Tour Ride (Aug. 23) and the Mae West Memorial \u201cFor the Love of Pets\u201d Ride for the Humane Society (Aug. 24) will enjoy a couple laps on the 1.6-mile road course as part of the rides, and Penguin Roadracing School will host instructional sessions (Aug. 27) for riders looking to improve their skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year looks and feels a bit different all around, but we\u2019re looking forward to welcoming riders to the speedway to enjoy on-track action during Motorcycle Week,\u201d said David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway. \u201cThe health and safety of every rider and attendee is our top priority. Based on the unique layout of activities for this event off-track, we, along with Katancha Event Management, felt removing display and concession areas was the best decision for 2020. We\u2019ll come back bigger and better in 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
