Brousseau’s bid for the top spot went by the way with a lap 13 looper, the subsequent restart bringing Eddie Gomarlo and Andy Major to Rivet’s bumper.

When Gomarlo wobbled on lap 15, it was Major to the deuce spot, with Ben Byrne now glued to his bumper. And when Rivet and Major tangled on lap 18, with both refiring from the back, a new front row – Byrne and Nate Wenzel – appeared but they too, like Rivet and Major – would find themselves refiring from the back four laps later.

That put Leary up front for the restart, and the former track champ took advantage of his new-found fortune, darting off to his second win of the season five lengths ahead of Colton Martin. Saturday night’s win helped Leary pad his early season lead atop the points parade. Martin’s strong runner-up finish was a victory in itself. The young star’s own ride was destroyed in a grinding frontstretch crash a week earlier, and his Saturday backup entry sustained a broken shifter earlier in the program.

Brousseau charged back through the field to come home a strong third, Gomarlo, who’d set fast time in qualifying, was fourth, and Major recovered for fifth.

With a $1,000 winner’s purse in Saturday’s special 50-lap Twin State Truck Services Limited Late Model feature up for grabs, the action was fast and furious in the nightcap main event.

Wesley Stedt was first at the front, with JD Stockwell, firing from row three, up to second by lap three and closing fast with Dylan Zullo close behind. Stockwell took command on lap seven, rocketing off in search of his second win of the season but, close behind, Robert Hagar had big ideas of his own.

Hagar, gunning for his second win in a row, took charge on lap 35 but Stockwell wasn’t done. Low-lining into turn one as they rubbed, he took the lead back and sped off to the big payday two lengths ahead of Hagar, Zullo was third on the night, Daniel Petrowicz fourth, and Hillary Renaud, stuck in the top groove early, came home fifth.

Colton Hull, the reigning Pure Stock champion at Claremont, won for the first time on the high banks Saturday, wiring the 25-lap Brattleboro Towing and Recovery Pure Stock main event. But much of the crowd’s eyes in this one were glued on the great battle for second.

Young Guns alumnus Sofia Rego and Addison Brooks both strutted their stuff as they raced inches apart for the number two spot. Kyle Begos got up for second mid-race and nearly stole the show, crossing the stripe in a blanket finish second to Hull.

Rego, who began the season just five short weeks ago with a Doug’s Auto Body Young Guns victory, showed the crowd that her move up to the Pures is for real, charging home to an impressive third, ahead of previous 2026 feature winners Jimmy Zellman and Josh Brigham.

As he’s done so many times in recent summers on the high banks, Pro 4 super star Rob Richardi Jr. dominated the field in both his heat and feature races Saturday.

Firing from row two in the night’s 35-lap Paul Roach Memorial feature, Richardi took the lead on lap one and never looked back. Second in the LaValley Building Supply Pro 4 Modified feature went to Jack Dumas, strong but on this night no match for Richardi. Fast Eddie, a speedway Young Guns grad himself, came home third, with Sophia Ashford and Randy Clark rounding out the top five.

Blasting off from way back in row five, Aaron Thompson dashed through the field to take the lead on lap 20 in the Beck’s Automotive Pro V8 Sportsman feature and sail away to his first divisional win on the high banks. Matt Robinson was second, and opening event winner Chris Kingsley third in the ten-car field.

In the Doug’s Auto Body Young Guns, Dylan Stati continued his dominance, romping to his fifth win in a row. Whately, Mass. pre-teen Maeve Barry was strong and steady in finishing second on the night.

Monadnock Speedway returns to action next Saturday, June 6, with a can’t-miss event topped by the Winchester 101 featuring a star-filled field of Tour Type Open Modifieds battling in the night’s 101-lap main event, along with a full card of NASCAR Local Racing Series action.
