Epping, NH- With the August 23 Hudson Hugger having been rained out it had been over a month since the Granite State Pro Stock Series was last on track. That didn’t slow any of the series and the region’s top dogs, drawing 23 cars for the full fendered portion of the historic 50th Annual Star Classic at the racy ¼ mile speed plant in Epping NH.

DJ Shaw made his second appearance of the year in the series and was quick to show his strength early with a dominant win in the first heat of the night. Strong wins by Nick Sweet and Matt Frahm in the remaining heats would set the tone for the night.

Talented Field Ready for 7th Bond Auto ACT Invitational

ACT NHMSWaterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model field is nearly set for the 7th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational at Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) Saturday, September 26. Drivers from seven U.S. states and the Canadian province of Quebec have already accepted invitations for the 43-car, 50-lap event.

All four previous winners of the Bond Auto ACT Invitational will try and add to their win total. Three-time Invitational winner Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA will look for his fourth victory, while 2014 winner Wayne Helliwell of Dover, NH tries to go back-to-back. 2010 winner and current ACT Tour point leader Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, NH along with 2012 winner Ray Parent of Tiverton, RI are searching for their second Invitational victories.

The New Hampshire driver is looking for his fifth win of 2015

(Epping, NH) – As the year winds down, the goal for young racer Derek Griffith becomes clearer. The Hudson, NH native is looking to secure his first Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) Championship.This weekend the GSPSS will invade Star Speedway as part of the 50th Annual Star Classic and will stage a 100 lap event on Sunday September 12, 2015.

Griffith, the driver of the No. 12 MOM’s of Manchester/LCM Racing Toyota Camry leads the second place point runner of Barry Gray by 30 points entering the second to last points counting event. “We have two events left; we are very excited to be racing as part of the prestigious Star Classic this year. Winchester, NH: This past Saturday there was a full venue of racing at high bank ¼ mile of Monadnock Speedway. The evening’s winners included Bill Kimball, Joel Monahan, Solomon Brow, Tim Leblanc and Dan Starkweather for the weekly racing divisions. In the visiting NEMA tour, Joey Payne took the checkers as Megan Cuginl won the NEMA Lite feature event.

Jaret Curtis paced the field in the Young Guns for their feature event. By lap seven, Dan Starkweather took control of the number one spot as Jaret Curtis held off brother Chase Curtis for second. Cole Littlewood running in fourth started to reel in Curtis for third. With two laps to go, Chase Curtis and Littlewood make contact setting up for a two lap shoot out. On the final lap, Starkweather cruised into victory lane followed by Jaret Curtis and Littlewood making a late pass on Hailey Guy for third.

Tombarello, Sands, Dumas, Washburn, and Tellier secure Lee USA Speedway championships, Barthelemy, Eldridge, Evans, Horvath and Mailhot take feature wins.

Lee, NH –  It was championship night at Lee USA Speedway on Friday, the final weekly program for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions to decide the 2015 division titles at “New Hampshire‘s Center of Speed“.

Haverhill, MA’s Tommy Tombarello, Jr. locked up another Supermodified championship title, but his season didn’t end quite the way he would have liked.  He was involved in a scary incident during his qualifying heat, slamming the retaining wall and destroying his championship machine.  Tombarello was uninjured in the hard wreck and joined the post-race festivities to accept his championship.

EPPING, NH – The Granite State Pro Stock Series will travel to Star Speedway, on September 12, for the tenth event on the schedule, the Star Classic.

The Star Classic is the second time the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has visited Star Speedway in 2015, and will be the seventh time the series has held a race at the facility since the tour’s inception in 2012.
