Rich Staskowski Scores Win At Waterford
\nWelch, Fellows Also Visit Victory Lane For Crazy Horse Racing<\/strong><\/p>\n

WATERFORD, Conn. \u2013 Rich Staskowski of Hope Valley, R.I., won the 30-lap Late Model feature at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Conn., on Saturday, August 18, for his first victory of the 2012 season.<\/p>\n

Staskowski, who won three events in 2011, moved to third in the Late Model standings at the track.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re trying a new setup recently in this car. We were a little off the pace \u2013 we had a hard time working the bugs out of it and finding the bite,\u201d Staskowski said. \u201cBut we’ve been having a pretty good year. We were struggling a little bit, but we’re turning that around.\u201d
\n<\/p>\n

Staskowski wasn’t the only Crazy Horse Racing driver to post a victory over the weekend. Multi-time White Mountain Motorsports Park track champion Quinny Welch of Lancaster, N.H., won the 50-lap Late Model feature at White Mountain on Saturday night, while Aaron Fellows won the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modified feature at Twin State Speedway on Saturday and also finished second in the Late Model main event the same night.<\/p>\n

At Oxford Plains Speedway, Travis Stearns finished eighth Saturday night and continues to lead the Late Model standings there with a pair of feature victories this season and 10 straight Top-10 finishes in weekly competition. New Hampshire’s Jeff Marshall finished second in the Late Model feature at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, N.H. Marshall sits second in the division standings as he pursues a second straight track championship there.<\/p>\n

The common denominator for everybody seems to be the support they get from Crazy Horse Racing owner Mitch Green.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s very important,\u201d Staskowski said. \u201cMitch is always there to listen to what you have to say, and he’s always there to help make some decisions with the car. Even if I think I’m doing the right thing, I’ll call him and ask him about things.
\n\u201cIt doesn’t matter what day it is, what time it is \u2013 if I give him a call on his cell phone, nine times out of 10, he’ll return that call. It’s good that he’s there for you and to help his guys out.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
