Laperle cruised to the win leading the final 50 laps of the event after getting by Jonathan Bouvrette who held on for second. Karl Allard climbed his way back to third after bringing out a caution on lap 277 and restarting at the rear. Dany Trepanier and Patrick Hamel completed the top five.<\/p>\n<p>Rookie Etienne Cliche finished sixth as the final car on the lead lap. Martin Goulet, Jr., Simon Roussin, David Michaud and Jacques Poulin completed the top ten. Second place point man Jean-Franoi\u00e7ois D\u00e9ry was involved in an early caution and spent an extended period of time on pit road changing a radiator and making front end repairs, which ended his title hopes. He finished fourteenth, thirty laps down.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Laperle\u2019s three career S\u00e9rie ACT Castrol Championships is now the most all-time and today\u2019s win puts him just one behind all-time S\u00e9rie ACT Castrol wins leader Donald Theetge with 17. The 300 lap event was completed in just under three hours with 19 cautions. Just fifteen of the twenty-six cars were on the track for the checkered flag.<\/p>\n<p>The S\u00e9rie ACT Castrol is done for 2012. Laperle, Theetge, Trepanier, Allard, Michaud and Dery will all make the trip south of the border next Saturday, September 22 for the fourth annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH as part of Cup weekend.
