The race, which offers extra purse and segment style racing, will be the last point-counting event for both divisions.<\/p>\n<p>Wolcott\u2019s Brendan Moodie, Jr. currently holds a nine-point advantage over a hard-charging Bobby Therrien of Hinesburg coming into the final event. Both drivers are looking for their first-ever Tiger Championship. Two-time Tiger Champion Shawn Fleury sits in third place just 12-points back, with Milton\u2019s Eric Badore and Williamstown driver Mike Ziter completing the top five championship contenders.<\/p>\n<p>The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen have endured one of the closest championship point battles in recent history, one where seven of the current top ten have led the standings at some point during the year. Many drivers have seen a glimpse of the championship. One will walk away with it this coming weekend.<br \/>\n <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe time leading up to this race has been a mental game. I try not to let it bother me. It\u2019s good to be nine points up, but I\u2019d rather it be thirty,\u201d said point-leader Moodie. \u201cI\u2019m just trying not to worry about anyone, I don\u2019t want to beat myself. I haven\u2019t been able to eat or sleep for three weeks I\u2019ve been so nerved up, but now that it\u2019s close I think I\u2019m more excited than nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Allen Lumber Street Stocks have seen the rise of 2011 runner-up Nick Pilotte, who has dominated on his way to his first Street Stock Championship at Thunder Road. Rookie sensation Dean Switser, Jr. has been his toughest competition, currently riding second in his first-ever full season at \u2018The Road\u2019. Switser will have to hold off all time win list leader Tommy \u201cThunder\u201d, who is poised for a career-best points finish in third, while Hardwick\u2019s Bunker Hodgdon and Barre\u2019s own Cameron Ouellette try to spoil from fourth and fifth respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The 50th People\u2019s United Bank Milk Bowl kicks off this Saturday, September 29th with time trial qualifying and the first segment of feature events for Tigers and Street Stocks, and will crown a champion on Sunday, September 30th.
