Timmons was part of a three-car effort that included full-time driver Lonnie Sommerville, who finished 14th, and team owner Scott Mulkern, who finished 18th in his seventh start of the season. Timmons recovered from an early spin on the backstretch to post the Top-10 finish in the No. 48x Timmons Machine/Southern Maine Motors Chevrolet, while both Sommerville and Mulkern fought ill-handling race cars throughout the day and made several pit stops under caution for adjustments.

WHO: Bobby Timmons III, Windham, Maine
TEAM: Mulkern Racing No. 48x Timmons Machine/Southern Maine Motors Chevrolet
CREW CHIEF: Bobby Timmons Jr., Windham, Maine
WHAT: PASS North Series 150
WHERE: Oxford Plains Speedway, Oxford, Maine (.375-mile oval)
STARTED: 16th
FINISHED: 8th

BOBBY, HOW WAS YOUR NIGHT AT OXFORD?

My first PASS race, I didn’t really have many expectations. To make the race was cool, and to finish the race was my goal – so to finish eighth was pretty cool. I feel like we could have been a little better. Travis Benjamin turned us around about 40-50 laps in, but it was just a mistake. No big deal.

The car was alright. It started to free up on me. One of the later cautions, I put a considerable amount of front brake in it, and that helped the car a lot. I gained three or four spots there at the end that I don’t know if I would have been able to get, plus it helped that a lot of guys were just wrecking out in front of me.

******

WHO: Lonnie Sommerville, Saint John, New Brunswick
TEAM: Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. That was probably the start of it. We just missed it. We were wrecking-loose getting in, and it’s pretty hard to get around the turns here at Oxford when you’re that free getting in, because you can’t get back in the gas at all. I was probably only a quarter-throttle for most of the race, because any more than that and it was just spinning the tires.

It was not, definitely, the way we wanted to end the 2012 season, but the way things have been going, I’m glad it’s over.

******

WHO: Scott Mulkern, Falmouth, Maine
TEAM: Mulkern Racing No. 84 Southern Maine Motors/Community Pharmacies Chevrolet
CREW CHIEF: Seth Holbrook, Turner, Maine
WHAT: PASS North Series 150
WHERE: Oxford Plains Speedway, Oxford, Maine (.375-mile oval)
STARTED: 17th
FINISHED: 18th

SETH, WHERE DID YOU GUYS MISS THE SETUP?

Too loose.
