Conveniently located just minutes from Interstate 91 in Bradford, VT, Bear Ridge Speedway is New England\u2019s premier dirt short track and the weekly home of the region\u2019s top open-wheel and full-fender stock car racers.<\/p>\n<p>The 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series invades the 46 year-old quarter-mile clay oval each Saturday night, May through September, at the famous \u201c6:00-ish\u201d starting time. In the event that track or weather conditions delay the target 6:00pm start time by a few minutes, fans are often treated to trivia contests and rewarded with prizes, or get to know current and former drivers through one-on-one interviews.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Five divisions of the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series compete every Saturday during the 22-week schedule \u2013 the Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes, the Laquerre\u2019s Marine &amp; Sports Center Limited Late Models, the Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours, and the KDD NAPA Auto Parts Hornets. The popular USAC Dirt Midget Association runs on a bi-weekly schedule, with special appearances by the ladies-only Hornet Queens, the Hornet Stinger youth division, the Granite State Mini Sprints (GSMS), and the winged warriors of the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE).<\/p>\n<p>Regular general admission prices continue to hold steady for the 2013 season, as they have for more than a decade. General admission for all regular events in the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series remains just $10.00 for adults (age 17-61), with teens (age 12-16) and seniors (age 62+) at $8.00, and children age 11 and under admitted for only $2.00. Special events, such as those that include the SCoNE Sprint Cars, are still very affordable, at $13.00 for adults and $10.00 for teens and seniors; children\u2019s admission remains just $2.00. Pit admission for all events is an additional $15.00 for Bear Ridge Speedway, DIRTcar, SCoNE, or GSMS license holders or an additional $20.00 for non-members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn today&#8217;s economy you\u2019ll be hard-pressed to find entertainment that\u2019s perfect for the whole family at less than these rates,\u201d Bear Ridge Speedway promoter April May Preston said. \u201cRacing is the number-one spectator sport in the country, and we encourage everyone to get out and see it \u2013 if you haven\u2019t been to the Ridge, make 2013 the year you check this off your bucket list!
