{"id":1248,"date":"2009-08-16T06:24:16","date_gmt":"2009-08-16T11:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/?p=9076"},"modified":"2009-08-16T06:30:32","modified_gmt":"2009-08-16T11:30:32","slug":"three-in-a-rowe-for-mike-at-beech-ridge-motor-speedway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/three-in-a-rowe-for-mike-at-beech-ridge-motor-speedway\/","title":{"rendered":"Three-in-a-Rowe for Mike at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scarborough,Maine- Mike Rowe had to make a late race charge to win his third Pro Series race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday night, and in the process widened his point lead in the NASCAR division.\u00a0 Keith McKinnon led the opening laps until Jay Sands took over at the front on lap 6.\u00a0 Sands would go to work to open up a lead over the field in a race that would go caution free.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Rowe was riding in the 8th position at this point of the race and went to work on the competition.\u00a0 Rowe moved to 5th on lap 11 and kept charging until he picked off Aaron Ricker for third on lap 12.\u00a0 The assault was not done yet as Rowe moved past McKinnon for second on lap 24 and set his guns on Sands who was 12 car lengths ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Rowe reeled Sands in lap after lap until the 32nd lap when he got to his rear bumper and the 33rd lap when he blew into the lead. Rowe used just enough power over the final 7 laps to stay in front for his third consecutive win with Jay Sands finishing second and Keith McKinnon third.\u00a0 David Oliver and Aaron Ricker were fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Reggie Leeman shook off weeks of miserable racing luck and dominated the 35 lap Sport Series feature event.\u00a0 Travis Buzzell led the opening 8 laps until Leeman disposed of him to take over the point.\u00a0 The only caution flag of the race appeared on lap 25 but that was not enough to slow Leeman as he easily sailed under the checkered flag for the win.\u00a0 Buzzell was second with Doug Wolfe third.\u00a0 Dalton Gagnon and Ben Tinker took the fourth and fifth place honors.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Lund was in the right place at the right time Saturday night to win the Wildcat feature race.\u00a0 Lund went into the lead from the pole position and was cruising along with 8 cars lined up behind him.\u00a0 Randy Snow took a shot at the lead on lap 16 and 3 laps later found himself out in front.\u00a0 As Snow crossed the start\/finish line on lap 26 suddenly his car slowed with a mechanical problem forcing Lund to take evasive action so as to not pile into him.\u00a0 Lund found himself back in the lead for the final laps and the victory.\u00a0 William Morris was second followed by Steve Benincasa, Lyman McKeage and Mike Ramsey.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn Brackett took the lead late in the Road Runner main event and in the process extended his division point lead significantly.\u00a0 Don Dinsmore and Dave Turner swapped the lead early on until Brackett took over on lap 11 and cruised to the win.\u00a0 Turner finished second with Ray Letellier third.\u00a0 Matt Dow and Ed Connolly were next at the finish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scarborough,Maine- Mike Rowe had to make a late race charge to win his third Pro Series race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday night, and in the process widened his point lead in the NASCAR division.\u00a0 Keith McKinnon led the opening laps until Jay Sands took over at the front on lap 6.\u00a0 Sands [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[28,10],"tags":[15772,108],"class_list":["post-1248","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-beech-ridge","category-maine","tag-beech-ridge","tag-mike-rowe"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1248","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1248"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1248\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1248"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=1248"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newenglandracingnews.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=1248"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
