OXFORD, Maine \u2013 Chris Coolidge of Norway, Maine, finished fifth in the Oxford Championship Series 40-lap Pro Late Model feature event at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Friday, June 21. Coolidge started on the pole in the 15-car field and led the first nine laps before yielding the top spot as the handling on the No. 72 Bill’s Automotive\/Lloyd’s Land Chevrolet started to go away. Coolidge fell as low as seventh in the running order but rallied late to post his second consecutive Top-5 finish in Oxford’s top division.

CHRIS, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO COME AWAY WITH ANOTHER TOP-5 FINISH AFTER ALL YOUR BAD LUCK TO START THE SEASON?<\/strong>
\nIt feels really good. It makes it a lot more fun to go to the track every week, I can tell you that.
\nThese last couple of weeks have been good for us. Don’t get me wrong \u2013 we still have a lot to do and a lot to figure out. But considering where we were before, this gives us a lot of confidence that we’re going in the right direction every week.<\/p>\n

WAS THE CAR AS GOOD AS IT WAS THE LAST TIME OUT WHEN YOU FINISHED SECOND?<\/strong>
\nThe car was decent. It wasn’t quite as good as it had been, but it wasn’t terrible, either. It felt like it didn’t quite steer through the middle of the corner like the week before. I was having to fight it a bit more getting through there than I did last week.<\/p>\n

WHERE HAVE YOU GUYS PUT MOST OF YOUR FOCUS THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS?<\/strong>
\nIt’s kind of a combination of two different things. It’s been tight in the center, and it’s been a little free coming off the corners. We’ve worked on making that better. The good thing is that we don’t feel like we need to keep making bigger changes.
