The first set of features was sponsored by Mike&#8217;s Automotive of Tilton, NH and the second, courtesy of Hawthorne Automotive in Franklin.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nGary Seimons (#51) won the first Main Event in the Sportsmen Modified division.  &#8220;Racin'&#8221; Jason Sanville&#8217;s #92 took second, followed by Chad Turck in #56.  Sanville improved by a spot for the later feature, winning over Allan Hammond (#77).  Seimons managed a third to go with his earlier win.<\/p>\n<p>Jack &#8220;Wild Child&#8221; Whynot brought his #27 Super Street home in first place twice, winning both features.  Mike Greene (#29) also took second place in both races.  Doug McPhail (#6) took third in the first race, with Nick O&#8217;Haire finishing third in the nightcap with his #09 &#8220;Flintstone Flyer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first feature for the Bond Auto Parts Outlaw Mini-Stocks may well have been the best race of the night, a true nail-biter from flag to flag.  Dave Durkee (#67) drove a magnificent race to clinch his first feature win of the season, followed by points leader Chris Conroy (#78) and Jim Durkee (#9).  Conroy advanced one place to get the second Mini-Stock main, with Rob Gioia (#4) and Mike Lique (#7) rounding out the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Luke Greenwood (#89) also went two-for-two in the 600cc Mini-Sprints, keeping his incredible streak alive and extending his very substantial points lead.  In the first race Jamie Glidden (#4) was second, followed by the #73 of Jake Williams.  Spencer Allen (#22) took second in the late-night event, and Glidden added a third-place trophy to his haul for the evening.<\/p>\n<p>The Legion Speedway was also visited by the Granite State Mini-Sprints Club, whose 500cc feature was sponsored by Brownie&#8217;s Auto Parts of Enfield, NH.  Four-time champion Lacey Hansen (#33) held off Josh Boisseneau (#05) for the win.  Doug Boisvert (#44) came home in third after the #68 of Robby LaCroix was disqualified for failing the post-race tech inspection.<\/p>\n<p>The Speedway was also visited by Norm Roulx, who was once part owner and announcer of the track back when it was the Nor-Way Pines.  He spoke at length about the history of the track and invited everyone to the Nor-Way Pines Reunion, to be held at the Legion Speedway next Sunday, July 7 starting at 1 pm.  The Legion Speedway hopes that fans of all ages will come and enjoy seeing the history of this great and ling-lived facility, going back to its 1961 opening as the Legion Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>The Legion Speedway is located on rt. 25 on the Rumney\/Wentworth town line.
