\nHudson, NH. \u2013 Mike O\u2019Sullivan of Springfield, MA, made his first ever visit to Hudson (NH) Speedway a memorable one as he won the Granite State Pro Stock Series sanctioned \u2018Gate City Classic 100\u2019 Sunday night, July 7.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Sullivan started fourth in an 18-car field and moved to the front at the beginning of lap 44 when he passed Jeremy Davis of Tamworth, NH.<\/p>\n
Davis set a torrid pace after passing early leader Barry Gray on lap seven. For a period, Davis looked like the car to beat leading for 35 laps until O\u2019Sullivan made his race-winning pass.

\nBuxton, ME, veteran Larry Gelinas, making his first ever start at the famed Hudson oval, drove a steady race and tried to use a lapped car to his advantage on the final lap when he almost pulled alongside O\u2019Sullivan in a race to the checkered flag. <\/p>\n
Matt Frahm, of North Salem,NH, already a two-time winner this season, finished a strong third. Davis settled for fourth, and Tommy O\u2019Sullivan, of Wilbraham, MA, rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n
Sixth through tenth were, Jay Sands, Craig Weinstein, Gray, Jake Vanada, and Phil Meaney.<\/p>\n
Only three caution flags were displayed for minor incidents on laps, 7, 18, and 53.<\/p>\n
The GSPSS will return to Hudson on August 25. Next up for the third year series is an appearance at Monadnock Speedway, Winchester, NH, on August 3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
