\nPierson Dominate Midgets, Giguere Remains Undefeated In Limited Late Models<\/em><\/p>\n

BRADFORD, VT \u2013Jason Gray of East Thetford, VT put on a clinic Saturday night at Bear Ridge Speedway, winning his heat, the Semi-Feature and the double points Mid-Season Championship for the Bond Auto DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Gray worked his way to the front from his mid pack starting point to track down early leader Bryan King, taking the lead after the race\u2019s third and last caution of the night. Once Gray was in the lead he pulled away to an impressive victory. King held on for second with Kevin Chaffee making a late race charge to garner third. Chris Donnelly was fourth and Gary Seimons rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n

Hometown driver Teddy Salomaa took his first win of the season in the 35-lap Shirley & Mickey Bruleigh Memorial event for the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupe division. Salomaa took the lead after a brief battle with early leader Rick Fletcher and was never really challenged for the duration of the non-stop event. Salomaa received a $350.00 bonus for the win, as the winner of the first caution free feature of the season for the Sportsman Coupes. Last years\u2019 winner of the Bruleigh Memorial, Tom Placey finished second with Jason Colbeth, Terry Williams and Jason Horniak completing the top five.

\nFan favorite Adam Pierson absolutely annihilated the field in the USAC Dirt Midget Feature. Pierson rim rode to the lead early in the event and won by better than a straightaway over teammate Josh Sunn with Scott Viets third. The rest of the finishing order is under review after a last lap melee that caused the race to finish under yellow and checkers.<\/p>\n

West Lebanon, NH Hot shoe Jason Giguere remains undefeated in the Laquerre\u2019s Sports Limited Late Models as he worked his way to the front, taking the lead from Brian Chaffee at mid race. Gigurere crossed the line better than two seconds ahead of second place finisher Brian Chaffee with Matt Ellsworth third.<\/p>\n

Tim Martin continued his dominance in the Weglarz Property Service Fast Four feature, winning once again. Martin has won every feature but one so far this season. Charlie Pickering ran to second with Kevin Harran third.<\/p>\n

Rookie Chris Laforest took his first win in the KDD NAPA Auto Parts Hornets win over Mike Lique with point\u2019s leader Stan Otterman third.<\/p>\n

Bear Ridge Speedway\u2019s 46th season of stock car racing continues on Saturday, July 21 as Dennis Preston Builders presents the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series Modified, Coupe, Late Model, Fast Four, and Hornet divisions, along with the Granite State Mini Sprints and a 4\/6 Cylinder Enduro. Regular general admission is $10 for adults (age 18-61), $8 for teens (12-17) and seniors (62+), and $2 for children; Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing begins at the famous \u201c6:00-ish\u201d start time.<\/p>\n

Bear Ridge Speedway is located on Kidder Road in Bradford, VT, just off Exit 16 on Interstate 91.<\/p>\n
