Stock car drivers who have yet to carry a checkered flag at the fast half-mile oval in 2013 will take part in the second annual \u201cShootout\u201d races for a chance to hoist the winner\u2019s trophy during the Saturday, September 14 portion of the two-day season finale.<\/p>\n<p>Regular weekly competitors from four weekly divisions will take part in 10-lap, sprint-style Shootout races.  A star-studded field of eligible open-wheel racers has been named to the Bond Auto Parts Modified Shootout roster.  In one of the season\u2019s biggest surprises, two-time defending track champion Ron Proctor of Charlton, NY owns four runner-up finishes in 2013 but has been denied a victory thus far.  Defending Shootout winner Jeff Haskins is again eligible and top drivers Vince Quenneville, Jr., Leon Gonyo, and Joe Williams are also locked in.  Dave Snow, Cody Sargen, Jamie LaFountain, Andy Smith, Jamie Proctor, and the father-son team of James Introne, Sr., and Jim Introne, Jr., are also eligible.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nIn the Late Model division, a healthy mix of rookies and veterans will try for victory, with Robert Bryant, Jr., Johnny Scarborough, Chris Curtis, Seth Bridge, Ricky Bly, Norm Andrews, Carol Parker, Tommy Eriksen, Jr., Nick LaGoy, Rich Lowrey, Chris Lacey, and Jesse Carris eligible to compete.<\/p>\n<p>The ultra-competitive Renegade division has teenage rookies Ray Germain, Jr., and Richard Lowrey, III on the Shootout roster, along with Jimmy Bushey, Ray Benoit, Jon Boutin, Robin Cummings, Tony Putzier, and Randy Howard.  In the entry-level Central Vermont Motorcycles Mini Stock division, John McCarron, Matt Monaghan, and Kyle Watrous are eligible to race, as well as Garry Bashaw, Harold LaVair, Jr., Lance Masterson, Kyle Sorensen, Dan Collins, Jason Sabourin, and Scott FitzGerald.<\/p>\n<p>The two-day Vermont 200 Weekend is Devil\u2019s Bowl Speedway\u2019s final event of the year and crowns season champions in all four divisions.  Shootout races and first-round championship event qualifying begin at 1:30pm on Saturday, September 14, followed by a barbeque, music, and a bonfire at 6:00pm.  General admission for \u201cShootout Saturday\u201d is $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under both days.  Championship main events are on Sunday, September 15, with action beginning at 1:30pm.  Discount two-day admission is $25 for adults.  One-day Sunday passes are also available for $20 for adults.
