Practice was delayed and started around <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_322172779\"><span class=\"aQJ\">1:30pm<\/span><\/span> due to some showers. The session was extended until <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_322172780\"><span class=\"aQJ\">6:00pm<\/span><\/span> to give teams time to get comfortable on the new American Racer tires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">A diverse group of competitors ran near the top of the speed charts all day. Former Milk Bowl Champions Jean-Paul Cyr, Brent Dragon, Brian Hoar, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., Cris Michaud and Dave Pembroke were among them. Several drivers looking for their first career Milk Bowl wins also turned quick laps, including Chip Grenier, Trampas Demers, 2013 Thunder Road Champion Derrick O\u2019Donnell, Cody Blake, Nick Sweet and Stacy Cahoon. A contingent of Quebec stars was also quick in the practice sessions. Alex Labbe and three-time Milk Bowl Champion Patrick Laperle led the way with Alex Labbe, Jonathan Bouvrette and Stephane Descoste not far behind. <!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">The only minor issue of the day occurred on the #50ME of Jeff White from Winthrop, ME. They had a leak in their oil pan but were working on repairs and should be ready to go for qualifying <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_322172781\"><span class=\"aQJ\">tomorrow<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">All competitors are expected to return for tomorrow\u2019s (<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_322172783\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Saturday, October 5<\/span><\/span>) Booth Bros.\/H.P. Hood qualifying day. Qualifying for Thunder Road\u2019s support divisions is set to start at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_322172784\"><span class=\"aQJ\">1:00pm<\/span><\/span> with time trials for the 51<sup>st<\/sup> People\u2019s United Bank Milk Bowl set to roll at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_322172785\"><span class=\"aQJ\">1:30pm<\/span><\/span>. Teams will be vying for the Booth Bros.\/H.P.
