Taking victories on the night included<br \/>\nMike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott, winning for the third time in four races<br \/>\non Wednesdays in the INEX Legend Cars division with a come from behind<br \/>\neffort.  Jon Porter of Canterbury checkered the Super X-Car division,<br \/>\nJordan Hadley of Quaker Hill won in the X-Cars, and Jonathon Puleo of<br \/>\nBranford won in the INEX Bandolero youth racing class.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Christopher had to work his way through the INEX Legend Cars field during<br \/>\na lengthy green flag stretch of racing in the division\u2019s 25-lap race.<br \/>\nAfter the opening green flag, the field ran through lap-18 before the<br \/>\nfirst of two caution flags in the race came out.  Mike Blaskey bolted out<br \/>\nto the lead at the start, pulling ahead to a sizeable advantage seeking<br \/>\nhis second straight victory.  Christopher arrived in second position on<br \/>\nlap-5 but was a straightaway behind Blaskey.  He closed the gap to be<br \/>\nwithin striking distance of Blaskey when the yellow flag waved.<br \/>\nChristopher tailed Blaskey after the restart until making his move on<br \/>\nlap-23 in turn one, then survived one final restart after Blaskey and Joey<br \/>\nTernullo tangled behind him racing for second position.   John O\u2019Sullivan<br \/>\nIII dueled with Jordan Churchill for the runner-up spot to the checkered<br \/>\nflag after the final caution, taking the spot by a bumper.  Churchill took<br \/>\nhis best Legend Cars division finish home in third.<\/p>\n<p>Hadley mastered the X-Car division once again, scoring a popular 25-lap<br \/>\nvictory.  He started deep in the field and narrowly averted trouble when<br \/>\nhe nearly was collected in the only caution flag of the race on lap-3.<br \/>\nHadley came through the field after the restart, overtaking Thomas for the<br \/>\nlead on lap-14.  He cruised to the win the remainder of the way, with<br \/>\nThomas finishing in second and Randy Johnston finishing third.<\/p>\n<p>Porter won for the second consecutive time in the Super X-Car division.<br \/>\nHe was patient early as the field battled side-by-side ahead of him in the<br \/>\nopening laps.  Porter was nearly collected in a turn one incident that saw<br \/>\ntwo cars come together on lap-6 to bring out the final yellow flag of the<br \/>\nrace.  He was fast on the outside of the track the rest of the way,<br \/>\npassing cars one by one to move to the lead on lap-15.  He got past Ray<br \/>\nReed and went unchallenged to the win as the race stayed under the green<br \/>\nflag.  Reed finished in second and Shane Peele bounced back from a lap-3<br \/>\nspin to wind up placing third.<\/p>\n<p>Puleo won his second INEX Bandolero feature of the season.  He led at the<br \/>\ngreen flag and held back a hard charging Anthony Marvin in the first half<br \/>\nof the race.  Nickolas Hovey raced third and moved in to battle Marvin for<br \/>\nsecond, allowing Puleo to pull away from them during the non-stop 15-lap<br \/>\nrace.   Puleo went on to the win, his second of the year, and Hovey spun<br \/>\nout of the final corner racing inside of Marvin, who went on to take<br \/>\nsecond at the finish.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of Porter, Reed and Peter Pollard teamed up to win the<br \/>\nnight\u2019s Wacky Race, a relay race for the Super-X Car division.<\/p>\n<p>Laps for Lupus hits the track on Saturday at the Speedbowl.  A track walk<br \/>\nwill take place following practice and before the night\u2019s racing. The<br \/>\nevent raises awareness and charitable donations for the Connecticut<br \/>\nChapter of the Lupus Foundation of America.
