Waterford Speedbowl Wild \u2018n Wacky Wednesday 6\/25 Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

Waterford, CT (June 25, 2014) \u2013 Waterford Speedbowl was back on track
\nWednesday evening with another mid-week Wild \u2018n Wacky racing program.
\nMike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott continued his successful season with
\nanother INEX Legend Cars victory. Jonathon Puleo of Branford won his
\nthird INEX Bandolero feature and Ray Reed of Norwich won for the second
\ntime in Super X-Car action. East Hartford\u2019s Eric Finkbein Jr. was a
\nfirst-time winner in the X-Cars and Chris Lee of Uncasville was champion
\nof the night\u2019s Wacky Race for the X-Cars.
\n<\/p>\n

Christopher rolled to another INEX Legend Cars feature Wednesday. He
\nmoved into the picture early, lining up third by the time the first
\ncaution flag came out on lap-2 in the 25-lap feature. Christopher quickly
\ntook second following the restart, then tailed leader Michael Blaskey.
\nBlaskey was hungry for his second win of the season, however Christopher
\nmade a diving move under him through turn four to race into the lead on
\nlap-9. The race stayed caution free and Christopher maintained a cushion
\nover Blaskey through the checkered flag. Last week\u2019s winner Joey Ternullo
\nstayed on Blaskey\u2019s rear bumper trying to score second position but his
\neffort came up just short. Blaskey finished second and Ternullo placed
\nthird.<\/p>\n

Puleo landed back in the winner\u2019s circle in the 15-lap INEX Bandolero
\nrace. He had to hold off an outside bid for the win by Anthony Marvin,
\nwho raced even with Puleo over several circuits. The two raced cleanly
\nbefore Puleo was able to wear Marvin out over the final laps. Marvin fell
\nin line behind Puleo and tailed him to the finish. Puleo won his third
\nrace of the year and Marvin ended up second. Ethan Durocher claimed his
\nfirst podium finish, ending up third.<\/p>\n

An exciting 25-lap X-Car feature saw Finkbein nail a first career victory
\nin the division, holding back two of the division\u2019s quickest drivers to do
\nso. Both Jordan Hadley and Zac Thomas were in hot pursuit of Finkbein,
\nwho held the preferred line and maintained his lead following the final
\ncaution flag of the race, which came on lap-7. The final laps were run
\noff in quick fashion and Finkbein held off all challengers. Hadley
\nrepeatedly tried to make a run but could not pull alongside. He finished
\non Finkbein\u2019s bumper and Thomas was close behind in third.<\/p>\n

Reed recorded his second Super X-Car win of the season by controlling the
\nnight\u2019s 25-lap race. He didn\u2019t take the lead until after a lap-6 restart,
\nbut once in front Reed was in command. He was tested over three
\nadditional caution flags and ensuing restarts but powered ahead each time.
\n Kevin Moon was credited with second position and Shawn Gaedeke third
\nfollowing post-race technical inspection.<\/p>\n

Lee came out on top in the night\u2019s Wacky Race, testing the driving skills
\nof X-Car competitors plus the hot dog eating skills of Speedbowl fans
\nduring an eight lap race. Drivers were each paired with one adult and one
\nyouth fan in a relay race. A mandatory pit stop during the dash saw the
\nadult devour a hot dog and the youth douse them with a bottle of water.
\nLee held on over Chuck McDonald and Mitch Bombard.<\/p>\n

Next Wednesday, the Speedbowl celebrates America\u2019s birthday with an aerial
\nfireworks display at the conclusion of the night\u2019s Wild \u2018n Wacky Wednesday
\nracing program for the upcoming holiday weekend. Motorcycle stunt
\nperformer Luke Emmons is also part of the card, ready to dazzle the crowd
\nwith two-wheeled tricks. All youth age 14 and under will be admitted free
\nwhen accompanied by an adult. Adult grandstand admission remains at $8.00
\nand the Speedbowl offers acres of free parking. Event details are
