\nanother action packed night of motorsports Wednesday evening. Mike
\nChristopher Jr. of Wolcott checkered another INEX Legend Cars feature to
\nlead the winner\u2019s list. Joining him were Mitch Bombard of Willimantic in
\nthe X-Cars, Dave Yardley of Berlin in the Super X-Cars and Jonathon Puleo
\nof Branford in the INEX Bandoleros. Peter Pollard of Old Lyme captured
\nthe night\u2019s Wacky Race.<\/p>\n
\nextra-distance race. Christopher won his ninth race of the year for the
\nmid-week series, continuing his dominance in the division. He used a
\nthree wide move early to position himself for a run at the lead, which he
\nmade on lap-5. He shot past the inside of John O\u2019Sullivan Jr. to take
\ncommand, then controlled the race over two restarts the rest of the way.
\nNick Ladyga stayed with Christopher for a few laps after the final restart
\non lap-18, however Christopher eventually pulled away to the win. Ladyga
\nwas second and Michael Blaskey third.<\/p>\n
\nof the year outdueling point leader Zac Thomas over a late restart in the
\n25-lapper. Thomas was the leader from lap-6 until the final caution flag
\non lap-21. He missed a shift and Bombard seized the moment, restarting
\ncleanly on the outside to pull ahead for the win. Thomas could not rally
\nfor a comeback and settled for second position, with Eric Finkbein Jr.
\ncoming out on top in a late race battle for third.<\/p>\n
\nSuper X-Car feature. The two raced a final three lap sprint even after a
\ncaution flag on lap-22 set up a thrilling finish. The two were even at
\nlap-28, Reiman led the white flag lap by a nose, and Yardley came back on
\nthe outside over the final lap to win by a few feet at the checkered flag.
\n Reiman finished second and early leader Ken Downing III was third.<\/p>\n
\nfeature victory. He started the race on a mission, using a three wide
\nmaneuver at the green flag to take the lead. Anthony Marvin moved in
\nbehind to challenge Puleo and the two cars came together and spun in the
\nthird turn on lap-3 to draw the only caution flag of the event. Puleo
\nstormed back, racing by then-leader Ken Morin Jr. on lap-6. Puleo could
\nnot shake Morin from his rear view mirror the rest of the way but was able
\nto stay out front. Morin finished second and Marvin rebounded to finish
\nin third.<\/p>\n
