Austin would be unable to hold on to his prime starting position as the laps ticked off. Robinson on the other hand was able to hold off most of the challenges he encountered leading the first half of the race. He would find himself having to give up his pole position to Rookie TC Forward. Forward who worked his way from mid pack to the front found himself right where he has wanted to be all season as the laps ticked off, in no other position but first. Jason Gray coming from deep in the pack worked his way to second place, the only veteran driver in victory lane. Robinson was able to hold on for third when the checkers finally waved. Josh Currier and points leader Donnelly completed the top five.

In the DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Pro Stock Sportsman Coupes Thomas Placey and Jeremy Beckley have had their struggles throughout the season, with both more than anxious to make it back to victory lane before the season ends. Tonight proved to be both their nights with Beckley starting in the outside pole position, and Placey starting right behind. Placey took over the lead on lap two and never looked back. Beckley held on for second with the pole sitter Mitchell Frost falling back to third. Completing the top five were Michael Danforth and Logan Oliver.

The USAC DMA Midgets had their first annual Elliott Beverage Midget Memorial Race. A special award was given to Beverage’s lifelong friend Frank Manafort during the drivers meeting by Mark Hann, and it was announced that for this race the driver who made it to victory lane would receive a special trophy along with their crew chief, as that was the role Beverage played for years with the Manafort racing team. For this race it was only fitting that Manafort’s number one guy Adam Pierson who weekly has to start from the back of the pack as he ultimately ends up winning, would once again do it this week. Pierson took over the lead on lap fourteen and said good night to the rest of the field. Pierson’s team mate Josh Sunn came home in second with Dean Christensen coming home in third. Anthony Nocella and Scott Viets completed the top five.

Jason Giguere continues to solidify his points lead in the Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Models. Taking the lead away from James Fadden on lap four Giguere cruised to his fourth win of the season. Brandon Gray took over the second place spot on a restart bumping the pole sitter James Fadden back to third. At the checkers that is how they crossed the line. Mike Greene and Derrick Stearns completed the top five.

Hunter Garduno claimed his second win in the Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours/KDD NAPA Ridge Runner Hornets, with fellow hornet competitor Mike Ryan coming home in second. Rob Gioia made his way to third for the overall with Bobby Bell and Cody Stearns completing the top five.

Bear Ridge Speedway’s 47th season of stock car racing continues on Saturday, August 2nd for the ROCK99 Weekly Racing sponsored by Interstate Battery of Newmont.
